I am not optimistic about the future because I fail to see the very real problems surrounding us.
I’m optimistic because I know my identity is in Christ. And God loves a good comeback story.
Pun intended.
One of the cleanest experiments in history already settled the economic debate on capitalism vs. socialism.
Same Germans, same starting line in 1949, the only variable was the system they lived under.
West Germany under Ludwig Erhard abolished the old price controls and introduced a new currency in 1948 and industrial production jumped 50% in 6 months.
East Germany went Soviet-style central planning with the state controlling prices, production, and property.
By 1989, East Germany’s GDP per capita sat at about $9,679 while West Germany’s was roughly 3x higher, and at reunification in 1990, East German output per capita was only 55% of the West’s.
The wall fell, but the gap never closed up to this day. All to say it’s been easier to recover from an atomic bomb than years of socialist rule.
Towns in Connecticut are cancelling their contracts with Flock camera over privacy concerns
The cameras are using artificial intelligence to gather way more information than just license plates
Cancelling Flock cameras is a growing trend, at least 60 municipalities canceled or refused to renew Flock contracts in the past 18 months
Currently flock cameras are in 49 states
Thr Connecticut towns cancelling their contracts say they haven’t seen any measurable helpfulness of the cameras solving comes to justify the surveillance concerns
There are over 80,000-100,000 already installed nationwide
Why won’t any Senate Republicans stop and notice that if John Thune can’t even peel off a handful of Democrats to pass the SAVE Act,
a bill that the overwhelming majority of Americans, including Democrat voters, actually want,
then he’s not a leader…
he’s just a high-ranking failure?
My question is WHY are there only 10? It should be at least 75 if they were actually representing their constituents?
@LeaderJohnThune
It’s only because of fraudulent elections most of the arrogant power-mongers can even keep their “jobs.”
Everything that’s happening to our Upstate NY environment today is a result of one party rule out of Albany for far too long.
Our government was designed to function best with checks and balances.
We’ve had no balance. That’s why a shadow bureaucratic class, chosen by foreign countries, is who oversees the mutilation of our farmland and loss of Upstate NY history.
We need change in the governor’s office badly.
@NassauExec is against ORES and usurping our home rule. That’s all I need to know!
🚨 WOW! CNN was just FORCED to admit the overwhelming reality and all 100 senators should listen: 80% PERCENT of Americans want photo voter ID to vote, a key provision of the SAVE America Act
That INCLUDES 62% of Democrats 🤯
For strong proof of citizenship, Trump is up +17 points 🔥
That means NO RECESS and NO VACATIONS until the people's mandate is delivered! 🇺🇸
I hate to say it but this is what I believe is truth. Our senate is captured by unelected bureaucrats. When you have 80% of Americans calling for leader Thune to pass the Save America Act and he refuses to, we have a problem.
President Trump has asked him to. Other senators have asked him to.
There is no reason why he can’t unless somebody has his balls to wall.
I voted for my representatives to represent my will. Our will.
This is unacceptable behavior from the senate. Initiate an investigation into Thune.
54 acres of dense Upstate NY forest... gone.
This is a mass mutilation of the physical environment that sustains life on planet earth.
As the person narrating the video notes... "The pathetic amount of electricity generated off the panels won't be enough to offset the carbon consumption lost by the trees that were cut down."
Not only that... forests also LOWER localized temperatures through transpiration. I thought "green energy" was about fighting global warming?
What I've learned along the way is that this is more than just the green energy subsidies and credits the installer will rake in once they're done puncturing the soil with panel anchors: it's a resource extraction game.
The 54 acres of trees were sold off immediately. The logger made a pretty penny looking "the other way" while every last environmental rule in our state was sidelined for money.
As for the topsoil (you can see it has been graded/seeded), another deal was made. Topsoil is a hot commodity. Quality topsoil is transported off the facility sites and replaced with crushed rock, clay, and quickly seeded to cover up the fact that the land has been irreparably raped.
The wildlife? Their home is forever gone. The squirrels, owls, etc. nesting in tree cavities... their babies dead. Soon the area will be fenced in using perimeter fencing for all 54 acres, causing turtles and smaller animals to die on their pursuit of new food and water sources. Larger animals like deer and bears end up in the roads, disoriented, with higher instances of roadkill along these ecological detention centers.
Your electric bills aren't going down. This is a land and resource grab right in front of our faces.
