Michael Cammarata had just finished the fire academy, still working toward his permanent assignment to Ladder Company 11, a job he'd dreamed of since he was a kid competing in the Little League World Series.

On the morning of 9/11, he left one final voicemail for his father: "I am going to the World Trade Center. A plane just hit it. Just tell everyone I am all right."

Those were the last words his family ever heard from him.

He was the youngest FDNY firefighter to die that day. 💔

Jeff Collman and Keith Bradkowski were partners for 11 years.

Then Jeff died aboard American Airlines Flight 11 on 9/11.

Afterward, Keith had to fight for survivor recognition because the law did not automatically treat their relationship like a marriage.

They were family.❤️🌈

Perhaps we can make this photo go viral again. This is Officer Chris Amoroso of the NYNJ Port Authority Police. This photo is from September 11, 2001, with the towers behind him. After saving this pregnant woman Chris decided to go back in for his 5th time. Despite having a wife and baby at home, despite being only 29 years old, Chris and 59 other Police Officers and 343 Firefighters never made it back out. You can curse us out, spit, defund and disrespect us, but when you call we will be there. Thats what makes us different. Im not looking for responses especially political ones. Just remember Chris and share his story. No sports number on his chest, no large contract no anthem to kneel to, just a real hero. #NeverForget

Quatre minutes plus tard, à 9h03, l’avion s’écrasait contre le World Trade Center.

I cry like a baby every year.

Todd Beamer died a father, husband, and hero.

Todd: Hello… Operator… listen to me. I can’t speak very loud. This is an emergency. I’m a passenger on a United flight to San Francisco. Our plane has been hijacked.

Lisa: I understand. Can they see you?

Todd: No. There are three that we know of. They have knives — razor knives, like box cutters. Someone announced from the cockpit there was a bomb. It sounded fake.

Lisa: Your name?Todd: Todd Beamer. United Flight 93.Todd: They killed one passenger in first class. They forced most of us back. Fourteen of us here. Five flight attendants. The guy with the bomb ordered us to sit on the floor.

Lisa: Are you okay?

Todd: We’re going down… wait. No. We’re leveling off. We changed directions. We’re flying east again.

Todd: A guy named Jeremy called his wife. She told him two planes hit the World Trade Center. Lisa, is that true?

Lisa: I have to tell you the truth. It’s very bad. Both towers are gone. A third plane hit the Pentagon. Our country is under attack. I’m afraid your plane may be part of their plan.

Todd: Oh God. Lisa, will you do something for me? Call my wife and my kids. Promise me you’ll call.

Lisa: I promise.

Todd: Our home number is… You have the same name as my wife. Lisa. We’ve been married ten years. She’s pregnant with our third child. Tell her I love her. I’ll always love her. We have two boys — David, he’s 3, and Andrew, he’s 1. Tell them their daddy loves them and he is so proud of them. The baby is due January 12th. I saw an ultrasound. We still don’t know if it’s a girl or a boy.

Lisa: I’ll tell them. I promise, Todd.(Lisa patches in the FBI.)

Agent: Todd, your plane is on a course for Washington. Best guess is the White House or the Capitol.

Todd: I understand. I’ll be back.

Todd: Everyone knows this isn’t a normal hijacking. We have decided we will not be pawns in their plot.

Lisa: What are you going to do?

Todd: Four of us are going to rush the one with the bomb. Then the cockpit. A stewardess is getting boiling water. We’ll take them out.

Todd: Would you pray with me?They pray the Lord’s Prayer. Then: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me.

Todd: God help me. Jesus help me.Are you guys ready? Let’s Roll.

On #September11 2001, Mark Bingham - a gay American - was 1 of 4 heroic men who stormed the cockpit of Flight 93 to fight the hijackers, causing the plane to crash into a field instead of its intended target in D.C.

The Shame of Donald Trump

Donald Trump skipped the 9/11 memorial because it would not let him be the main character.

Twenty-five years after the attacks, Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush stood at Ground Zero and honored the 2,977 people murdered that day. The sitting president of the United States could not be bothered.

The New York ceremony does not allow political speeches. It is for the dead. That was a deal-breaker. So Trump went to the Pentagon, where he could grab a microphone and turn remembrance into a performance.

Four former presidents showed up for the victims. Trump showed up for Trump.

🚨THE MAN WHO SAVED 2,700 LIVES 🕊️

Rick Rescorla, a decorated Vietnam veteran, had warned Morgan Stanley for years that the towers were vulnerable to attack and trained employees on evacuation drills nobody wanted to take seriously.

When the first plane hit, he ignored orders to stay put. Bullhorn in hand, he calmly led nearly 2,700 Morgan Stanley employees down the stairwells, singing old war songs to keep them calm as they descended.

Almost everyone made it out. Rescorla went back in to search for stragglers and never came out himself.

His wife's last words to him on the phone were "please get out." His response: "As soon as I make sure everyone else is out." 💔

25 years later. His plan saved nearly an entire company. Never forget. 🇺🇸🙏
