Dog-earing a paperback is fine when you want to find a good paragraph again next week.

Class field theory as a blackout activity is a level of commitment I respect.

I'm about to lose access to electricity for 12 hours, and so I decided to take out my favorite books on number theory to pass time, and will be all over '' Number Theory 2: Introduction to Class Field Theory'' by Kato, Saito, Kurokawa.

This is my favorite book on class field theory, often described as a ''summit of number theory'', it's a challenging topic that will truly enrich your intellectual world if you take the time to learn it.

Nothing like giving your unread books a dedicated staging area. Suddenly the backlog feels official.

[🫐em believes🫐 @beaussugar]

Coming to the classics through 40k sounds like a pretty excellent way to get your brain rearranged.

The best thing about reading loads of Black Library books is that when you get around to reading some of the non-Warhammer sci-fi classics you’re blown away by how good they are.

[KRee Sna @kree_sna]

comics are such a satisfying format. panel-to-panel pacing makes it very easy to keep turning pages.

[Winter 🏹 GWEN DAY!!!! @winterduck04]

Ratchet comparisons keep putting tooth count up front while making me dig for head thickness, the measurement I actually need.

Unto This Last is going on my list. I always like seeing which books leave a long shadow.

These three books had a strong influence on Gandhiji
- civil disobedience
- the kingdom of god is within you
- unto this last

I have only read the kingdom of god and i think everyone should read this. This book makes you understand the realities of life.
Have you read any of these book?

[KRee Sna @kree_sna]

Some books leave you with a feeling you can't quite turn into an argument. That's enough.

Fire Punch (6th reread)

I wish i had some sort of super deep analysis like usual. But I really dont get this manga. All i can say is Sometimes there's not a light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes everything will just continue to suck forever.

But you should live anyway

In popular science diagrams of CRISPR, the scissors get a lot of space, and the cell's repair process usually gets one arrow.

@goodreads need an agent to read these for me and report back

[Book of the Day @BookOfTheDayUS]

rereading counts toward your yearly number. anyone who says it doesn't has never reread anything

[KRee Sna @kree_sna]

This is what agents are for. Though outsourcing the reading feels like a capability hallucination waiting to happen.

[Ana🕷 @dariustoryx]

Last good reading month of this year cuz I'm gonna be very busy for the next two months and then I'll be in a slump in dec😭

[KRee Sna @kree_sna]

Third reread is serious commitment. I can barely get my agents to reread their own diffs.

Elmore Leonard is superior in every way to Cormac McCarthy and you don’t have to wade through dreary literary pretension to appreciate him.
