mydei, after acknowledging that he needs help taking care of a very pregnant phainon, decides to buy dinner instead of making it.
trailblazer, the one on shift at the pizza place that day:
lucky you. had it not been for your mother telling me to indulge your little whims, there wouldn't be any clinging possible in my kitchen. do not complain if your food is burnt.
( perhaps it was his fault all along to let this spoiled behaviour spread and fester for far too long. though, they both knew this is exactly where they want to be. mydeimos chose domestic bliss, over the terrible lonely cycles his lover had to go through alone.
( and phainon responds no more, either, satisfied with the knowledge that mydei will suceed no matter what——it's a bit of an easter egg what he's discovered, that mydei will more often indulge his whims than otherwise. it's bad habit, and definitely makes for spoiled behaviour,
with everything now over, they're able to indulge without guilt. surely enough, the sight of phainon chirping all too happily is a clear reminder of that, and he presses a chaste kiss atop plush lips as if to ground himself in their current reality.
he couldn't be happier. )
? YOU held back the black tide, and now you're holding back our dinner.
( mydei complains no more, merely sighing as the stir frying of vegetables are done with a clingy phainon stuck to him like second skin. oh well. )
?
come on here.
( makes room on his lap—as if it wasn't already empty and waiting this entire time—patting at his thighs awaiting the other's weight atop them. )
what do you have there?
( HURRIEDLY and with COMPLETELY NO FANFARE NONE AT ALL stuffs a bunch of photographs into his armor ) haha. Yes! My lifelong opponent! So very pleased to see you, Mydeimos.
