whole point of the avatar is to bring balance to the world but the past lives aren’t necessary to do that. aang ignores their advice in the finale and korra’s done so much on her own w/o them

@GermaineWrld her leaving the portals open did give zaheer his ability to escape and free the red lotus but like you said it brought back the air nation. a big lesson korra learned is that they’ll always be someone to fight but what matters is learning and bettering herself overtime

@GermaineWrld her actions eventually lead to the dark avatar but she only trusted unalaq bc her parents and tenzin were keeping things from her that he exposed. he’s a spiritual master and the only one who was able to stop the dark spirit. it makes sense she would trust him
