This habit of calling people Honourable should stop. We should be called representatives, and leave the title Honourable to the Americans - Okiya Omtatah
Housing Levy Locked Forever:
A bold fiscal manoeuvre could lock the controversial housing levy into Kenyan payslips for generations.
Government plans to use the housing levy as loan security to borrow Sh100 billion.

@Honeyfarsafi I wonder why public and private institutions don't have: FIRE ALARMS, FIRE DETECTORS, SMOKE DETECTORS, CLEAR EXIT ROUTES, TRAINED FIRE MARSHALS AND HSE SUPERVISORS. all these should be considered if we really need to stop unnecessary deaths in future.

Not all money in your bank account is taxable income... Court warns KRA.
There is a company called Konchor Kid Limited.
Their business is simple.
- They collect money on behalf of clients through its bank accounts.
- Pass it to the clients
- Retain a commission of 0.2%
Meaning,
- For every 1 billion they collect,
- They earn 2 million shillings.
KRA audited them. Saw their bank accounts. And went nuts.
- How can billionaires declare an income of 2 million only?
KRA became even more dramatic.
- They baptized the difference of 998 millions as UNDECLARED INCOME.
Then issued a tax demand of 345m.
Konchor Kid explained their business model to KRA.
- Bro, this billions you see here is not our money.
- We only earn 0.2%
They even provided client agreements to prove it.
But the KRA officers salivating to beat their targets could not hear any of it.
Konchor Kid ran to court.
The court looked at the case and shook its head.
Court affirmed ,
- The company had fully explained its nature of business.
- It had provided sufficient evidence.
- KRA had no basis to ignore that.
The court declared KRA’s actions were unfair, unreasonable and illegal.
As such KRA lost.
Lessons.
- The govt is setting higher targets for KRA every year.
- KRA staff are under insane pressure to beat these targets.
- So, KEEP RECORDS.
Records. Records. Records.
Records are king in tax audits.
Kenyans, Pay Attention to the LSK Presidential Race ,This One Matters.
Do not be deceived into thinking the Law Society of Kenya election is a small lawyers’ tea party. This is a battlefield for the soul of constitutionalism.
Because make no mistake ; there is an aggressive, calculated push to capture the Bar.
Power fears independent lawyers.
Power fears fearless litigation.
Power fears a Society that can drag the State to court and win.
So what do they do?
They manufacture ego candidates.
Polished puppets.
State-friendly faces packaged as reformers but wired to kneel, not to fight.
Ruto cannot take over the Society through backdoor influence and expect Kenyans to clap. The LSK is not an annex of State House. It is not a department of government. It is supposed to be the legal firewall against executive excess.
LSK led by compromised leadership becomes useless to the public.
It will issue soft statements when rights are violated.
It will look away when abductions happen.
It will whisper where it should roar.
It will negotiate where it should litigate.
That is how institutions die ,not by law, but by capture.
So Kenyans must interrogate every candidate beyond posters and manifestos:
Who has fought for the Constitution when it was inconvenient?
Who has taken on State power without trembling?
Who can keep the Bar independent not politically domesticated?
Because this election is not about who wins a title.
It is about whether the legal profession remains a watchdog… or becomes a lapdog.
Stay alert.
Institutional capture thrives on public ignorance.
Once the Bar falls, the citizen stands naked before power.
Why cant the EACC or DPP do something?
Because they are appointed by the same corrupt politicians that you vote for. The budget for their operations is appropriated and approved by the same corrupt politicians who are contractors in these projects.
Shida ni wewe. Thats why you can jump from Ruto to Gachagua. You are imprisoned by tribalism. You don’t want change you just want a thief with a familiar name at the table. Akishiba pia wewe umeshiba
The LSK Act that establishes the Society sets out its functions and objects in Section 4 to include “ to uphold the Constitution of Kenya and advance the rule of law and the administration of justice”
At today’s ground breaking for its new headquarters they invited the biggest threat to our constitution and rule of law as guests!
They came carrying money Ofcourse.
10M in total to go to the construction.

My two interviews for the year 2025 was between Edwin Sifuna and Mungatana/Ekuro Aukot, on Citizen TV.
Versus Mungatana:
Sifuna: I didn't go to the National Assembly to listen to Ruto's speech because I can't sit there and listen to lies.
Mungatana: You must respect the President, how can you say in the national television that he lies?
Sifuna: If I found what he said was not truthful, what is the opposite of truth?
Mungatana: Lies.
Mungatana: I'm an elder and under Pokomo culture people respect their elders.
Sifuna: We are not here under Pokomo Customary Laws, this is Citizen TV.
Versus Ekuro Aukot.
Sifuna: I'm telling you Ekuro Aukot you have what we call Illusions of grandeur, nobody wakes up thinking about Ekuro Aukot or the Third-way alliance, we let you run alone in a repeat election in 2017 against Uhuru Kenyatta and you only got 18,000 votes in the entire nation. Ekuro Aukot we can even let you run alone in 2027 and still lose that election. Why do you even call your party Third-way alliance yet you are the only person people know in the party, it should be One-way alliance.
I just can't wait for more of Edwin Sifuna in 2026.
A governor with devolved funds to fix schools, hospitals, roads, markets, water, and agriculture in Nyeri still wakes up every day blaming Nyanza and Western for his own failures.
Mutahi Kahiga was elected to lead a county, not to gossip about communities. But when a man is small in mind and bankrupt in vision, he seeks relevance by spitting venom. It’s easier to insult Raila than to explain why Nyeri’s hospitals have no medicine, why farmers are sinking in debt, and why the youth are jobless.
He thinks shouting at the dead makes him powerful , no, it just exposes the rot in his soul. The man is drunk on tribal hate and allergic to work. He has devolved funds but not sense.
How does a whole governor turn from fixing lives to fueling division at funerals? Because it’s easier to weaponize ignorance than to govern.
Mutahi Kahiga is a disgrace to the institution of devolution ; a loud, lazy embarrassment masquerading as leadership. Nyeri deserved a leader; they got a loudspeaker for bitterness.
The danger with revolutions is not just the old guard , it is that today's liberator can become tomorrow's tyrant. History is replete with movements that removed oppressive regimes only to replicate the same structures of domination under new names and fresh faces. So, how do we stop the cycle?
First, we must understand that it is not just bad people who abuse power it is power itself that tempts all people. As Lord Acton warned, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Therefore, the answer lies not in trusting individuals, but in building systems that limit them.
Institutional Guardrails: We must entrench independent, well-resourced institutions that do not bend to personalities especially in the judiciary, electoral commissions, police oversight, and public procurement. These bodies must have security of tenure, transparency, and insulation from political interference.
Term Limits and Rotation of Power: Leadership must not become a permanent residence. Time-bound mandates and mechanisms for leadership renewal prevent the calcification of power and the growth of political dynasties.
Civic Vigilance: The people must not retreat after elections. Democracy is not a day; it’s a daily act of resistance, questioning, and participation. Citizens must become relentless monitors, not just passive voters.
Decentralization and Accountability: Devolving power reduces the temptation of centralised authoritarianism. But devolution must come with robust financial transparency and citizen involvement to prevent creating 47 mini-autocrats.
Moral Leadership and Political Education: No system survives if the people are not politically conscious. Leadership must be seen not as entitlement, but as stewardship. And the public must be taught not to worship leaders, but to measure them by principle, delivery, and service.
Ultimately, we must accept that no safeguard is perfect. What matters is constant vigilance and the will to challenge power , always. As the philosopher Karl Popper wrote, “The question is not how to get good people to rule; the question is: how can we so organize political institutions that bad or incompetent rulers can be prevented from doing too much damage?”
The answer, then, is not a messiah ; it is a system that distrusts power, limits it, and places sovereignty where it belongs: with the people
"Iran doesn't have nukes. Israel does.
Iran is a signatory to the NPT. Israel isn't.
Iran has allowed IAEA inspectors into its country.
Israel doesn't."
But Israel's the victim?
My video for Zeteo on how the media's coverage of this crisis is abysmally biased.
