Strongly condemn the brutal assault and arrest of CPI(M) Central Committee member Sujan Chakroborty, SFI General Secretary Srijan Bhattacharya and other comrades during protests against the midnight eviction drive at Jadavpur Station.

PM Modi found time for election photo-ops with jhalmuri vendors in Bengal. Today, the BJP-led state government is demolishing the livelihoods of hundreds of hawkers who sustain working-class families and serve thousands daily.

This bulldozer attack on livelihoods must stop immediately. The eviction drive must be withdrawn. Left parties and trade unions will unite to resist these anti-people actions.
