To manage or to lead? Or do both?Β
Let's talk about it...
Management is a game of output.
It's about:
β’ maximizing the productivity of your team
β’ getting more done in less time
But leadership is ALL about the vision.
It's about painting a picture of the future.
A future so compelling, that the team wants to fight for it. πͺ
And the best leaders know how to do both of these.
They can increase output AND inspire their team.
They can make the present efficient AND the future enticing.
This is what separates the good from the great.
Last year I bought a GoPro.. Never used it...
Time to change that, the plan is to shoot short clips of day-to-day while I am away so that when I go home I've got something to show the kids to give them a better idea of what it is I do when I'm working away from home.
This week I traveled from Glasgow, back to Riyadh to work with some excellent event professionals, the video is my first attempt and effort using the GoPro Quick App - Very much open to hits and tips from anyone else that uses it π
anyways,
Happy Saturday!!

β Completed FREC 3! π₯
An amazing week of training in Glasgow. Thanks to Amvale Scotland and our instructor Steve for the exceptional delivery and knowledge.
Practical scenarios were challenging and well thought out β I highly recommend!
Planning to undertake FREC4 later this year to further my emergency pre-hospital care skills.
Excited to build my own kit bag with my new Braun Healthcare Pulse Oximeter. Considering two versions:
Small/medium (Travel) β Event Professional (Medical) EDC for travelling/working abroad.
Large/XL (Incident Response) β For on-site UK event/festival phases, mixing incident/scene management with multiple casualty response.
Questions for you:
What should be in 1 & 2?
Why are they there?
Where do you place them?
When to deploy them?
Who will use them?
Happy Friday! More on LIME-Packs soon.

I've always struggled with classroom courses.
This week's FREC3 course has been challenging, but I've passed all parts so far. Balancing real-world event experience with new qualifications is challenging but crucial.
Two questions:
In team training, who should lead without a designated clinician?
Practical experience vs. certifications β which is more important in events?
Looking forward to your thoughts!

I haven't had a lot of time recently to read anything for myself, so this week I am taking the opportunity to get back at it and have chosen to start here...
