Being a HS athlete is the best time of your life. Kids are missing out
Mason West was drafted No. 29 overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in last year's draft.
After the draft, he decided to stay in high school to try to win a state football championship as the team's QB.
Now he's a state champion.

Gregg Popovich said, “It’s your job to make me play you.”
Playing time is earned.
A victim mindset says…I didn’t play because coach doesn’t like me.
A winning mindset says…I didn’t play because I haven’t earned it yet.
Don’t be a victim.
Nick Saban said, "You get up every day, you're entitled to: Nothing."
"Nothing is acceptable, but your best."
It means show up, do the work, and earn it every day.
Your thoughts drive what you want, your actions drive what you get.

Nick Saban is the GOAT of college football.
His success is no accident—it’s a product of relentless standards, a refusal to accept mediocrity, and an intense focus on the process.
Here are 10 Reasons that made Saban the GOAT.
1. STANDARDS - Standards Matter. They set the bar and the Tone. In championship programs, standards are clear and known by all.
"The expectations are what they are here, and we don't run around talking about them."
2. MEDIOCRITY - One of his all-time classic quotes. High achievers separate themselves. You are who you hang with. Hang with the best.
"Mediocre people don’t like high achievers, and high achievers don’t like mediocre people."
3. TWO PAINS - There are two pains in life: discipline and disappointment. It is a simple choice. You choose.
"There are two pains in life. There is the pain of discipline and the pain of disappointment. If you can handle the pain of discipline, then you’ll never have to deal with the pain of disappointment."
4. THE PRESENT - The great teams live in the present, in the now, and they control the controllable.
"What happened yesterday is history. What happens tomorrow is a mystery. What we do today makes a difference."
5. LOSING - The most competitive people hate to lose more than they love to win. Losing is a separator.
"I don't like to lose. I don't expect to lose."
6. RESILIENCE - Resilient Teams WIN. They always find a way!
"One thing about championship teams is that they’re resilient. No matter what is thrown at them, no matter how deep the hole, they find a way to bounce back and overcome adversity."
7. FOCUS - Control YOU.
"Eliminate the clutter and all of the things that are going on outside and focus on the things that you can control with how you go about and take care of your business. Take the other team out of the game and make it all about you and what you do."
8. PROCESS - The best coaches and teams are process-oriented. The process is always the PRIZE.
"Process guarantees success. A good process produces good results."
9. THE HOW - The how matters. A lot. Championship teams do not focus on the "what." They focus on "How" they do things.
"We're not going to talk about what we're going to accomplish. We're going to talk about how we're going to do it."
10. TIMELINESS - Simple but true. Showing up on time is about commitment—every day. Details matter.
"Be on time, because it shows you care."

DISCIPLINE IS A WAY OF LIFE
This entire clip from Nick Saban is pure gold. Discipline is everything. Every player should watch this clip understanding how they do drills in practice, how they warm up, or do anything is a mentality. It can't be turned on or off.
Most BadAss way to read progression 4 vertical “Go” route or Air Raid “6”
1) Pre-Snap for most or best grass
2) Best matchup is most important if man press
3) Tag an outside receiver on a comeback or better yet have QB tag him
4). If Zone cover read it: Inside/Inside/ to Comeback or Back or tag ( meaning read seams by YH to XZ comeback tag to F option or F swing or F angle ( whichever you’ve designed for F)
5) PlayAction is always better than dropback if Zone coverage as it will delay or end any possible re-routing by backers
6) If press coverage then make sure to give first look to QB on 4th step
7) The longer the throw the less successful the play…best results come in the 10-17 yard range
8) If 3 by 1 formation make sure QB is aware of cross read of safety on Y knifing across to opposite hash and protect him with early throw
9) Work press cover throws in Pat n go daily or else be embarrassed when u face good press cover corners
10) Always remember “ a completion is better than an ooh…ahh ball” an ooh…ahh ball is a throw that travels 40-60 yards in the air and crowd is marveled as it travels so far they shout ooh… as the ball flies down the field only to eventually shout ahh… as the pass goes incomplete…Throw completions!!
LSU’s RB Corner Concept in the Red Zone.
The Boundary Corner and Strong Safety defend over the top while the Outside LB widens with the H-Back.
The RB attacks the grass left open by the defense for a TD!
