@landofthe80s I would go to my Grandpa’s house sit down with him and have him tell me about his WW2 experiences in the Pacific when he was in the Marines. At the time I thought they were boring, uninteresting, did not appreciate them, and mostly ignored them, when he tried to tell them.
@NUCLRGOLF Peter Jacobsen. I’m from Portland like him, and I remember growing up, his name would be in bold in the local paper on the leaders list, and I would always look for his name, and follow him throughout the year.
@RockNRoLL_85 For me yes, my Dad who was much more musically inclined than me, a session musician in the 70s(drummer), always thought they were overrated and overplayed. Everytime they came on the radio he changed the channel.
Growin uup in PDX, I remember we had channel 2, 6, 8, 10(ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS) 12,(KPTV a more local station) 49(Fox) and catch-22(can’t quite remember the programming may have been religious or something. There was also a Spanish channel that was pretty much static if you happened to turn to it.
