Where's the blue tick, PNB? 😄 Ask @nsitharaman and @narendramodi—they manage huge amounts of taxpayers money, so surely they can help. And yes, have you heard of Digital India? Oh, I forgot… perhaps its more of an election-time promise than an everyday reality! 😉 @UFBUIndia #5daybanking
@kapsology India is moving rapidly towards digital banking. You seem well educated and technically aware—so why panic about visiting a branch on Saturday? Most banking services can be done digitally.
Don’t blindly follow the government’s narrative. 🙂
Don’t mistake our commitment to public service for weakness.
During COVID, when many stayed home, bankers stood at the counters, handled cash, processed salaries, pensions, loans and essential banking services—putting ourselves and our families at risk.
We stood with the public then.
We stand with them now.
Respect bankers. Respect dialogue. Respect democracy.
We won’t be bullied. We won’t be silenced. We will stand together.

It is time for the Government to approve the 5-day banking week; bank staff have earned it through their dedication and effort. #5DayBankingNow#AIBOC@PMOIndia
Banks power India 5 days a week in the demand? No. Bankers ask for 5 Days Banking, with the agreed 40-minute daily adjustment. The proposal has been pending with the Government since the March 2024 settlement. How long must the workforce wait for a settled issue?

Every 24x7 banking service has a banker behind it and a family waiting at home. We agreed to the 5-day week in March 2024 and accepted longer weekday hours. The regulator, the insurer and the Government all work 5 days.
Our demand is just. The delay is not.
#5DayBankingNow #AIBOC @PMOIndia
Bankers keep India connected 24×7.
But behind every transaction, target and deadline is a human being, with a family, responsibilities and a life beyond the branch.
A 5-day week was agreed in March 2024, with bankers accepting longer working hours from Monday to Friday.
The demand is reasonable. The commitment is proven. The delay is difficult to justify.
Implement 5-Day Banking now.

An agreement must be honoured. A reward system must be fair.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The 5 Day Work Week for bank employees was agreed in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. Its implementation cannot remain pending indefinitely.
At the same time, a unilateral and discriminatory PLI framework that divides the workforce must give way to a fair, transparent and inclusive system for all employees.
Every achievement of our banks is the outcome of collective effort.
Recognition too must reflect that collective contribution.
We seek no privilege, only implementation of an agreed commitment, equality in reward and dignity at work.
@PMOIndia
India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.
At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.
Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.
A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.

A 5-day banking week allows families to spend quality time together, strengthening community ties and overall happiness. #Implement5DayBanking https://t.co/2uk8Dpudqy
A rested workforce serves the public better. With staff shortages and rising stress, 5-day banking is a service-quality issue, not a “perk.” UFBU has pursued this since 2015; IBA has recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and it’s included in the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024), pending clearances.
Let’s finish what’s already agreed.
