Well, after 15 years here on Twitter, this is the end for me. Tweetbot was what made this service usable, and it's no longer that anymore. So, I will be moving over to Mastodon 100% from now on. Find me here: https://t.co/1Ceg2ooFDY. New content is just auto-posted from there.
Tweetbot and other clients are experiencing problems logging in to Twitter. We’ve reached out to Twitter for more details, but haven’t heard back.
We’re hoping this is just a temporary glitch and will let you know more as soon as we know more.
If your software product doesn't have a text box where I can write a feature request and have it show up in a few minutes, I'm going to constantly be tempted to get Claude to replace you
What it takes to get Steve Gleason on a plane.
This ex-NFL safety has raised more than $65 million for ALS research. He is a hero for what he has done. And I love that he can still smirk. Do you know anyone with ALS?
We are now in a position where a tiny proportion of the population uses Fable or soon GPT-5.6, while everyone else's experience of AI is 8-30b-model level - Google's AI Overviews, Meta AI, ChatGPT free tier, maybe MS Copilot at best. People outside of tech must be completely baffled how this is supposed to take their job, and annoyed that hundreds of billions are being poured into it.

The amazing work we are able to do with AI coding agents should be something everyone pays attention to. Watch what @jcantonw is doing, this is going to make a real difference in the classroom.
I'm really excited about the possibilities for private, on-demand coaching for teachers. It doesn't need to be better than (or even as good as) working with a human coach to have value!

"What is a TikTok video if not a digital Dorito?" Cal Newport (author of Deep Work) proposes that reading a few dozen book pages a day should become our cognitive 10,000 steps.
I think he's right. We've accepted that modern life requires deliberate physical exercise. It probably also requires deliberate mental exercise to counteract what social media, short videos, and AI are doing to our attention.
Though I'd add: writing and doing research with AI doesn't have to be a shortcut. If you treat it as both a smart assistant and a sparring partner rather than an autopilot—pushing back, rewriting, thinking harder—it can be its own form of deep work.

Australian tech entrepreneur Paul Conyngham explains how he used ChatGPT/AlphaFold (spent $3,000 with no biology background) to create a custom MRNA vaccine to treat his dog’s cancer tumors. Unreal.
Just moved all my memory from "another chat" to Claude using the Import Memory feature
This was literally the only reason I was still opening that other chat.
If you want to do the same, follow the steps here: https://t.co/ushiMWwVqf
The process is dead simple, one prompt extracts all your memory in the exact format Claude needs to import it.
Took me like 2 minutes.
If you’re a user of AI, delete GPT.
Anthropic turned down a deal to allow their models to be used by the government for surveillance and autonomous weapons.
Open AI took the deal.
