There are very few people I’d do this for. But it seems I’m on the train to London to join a very long overnight queue with my dear old Mum.
Here comes a rolling thread about #TheQueue
A black kid in poverty won’t be inspired that it’s a black Chancellor letting him go hungry.
A brown mum being deported won’t be comforted that it’s a brown Home Secretary tearing her family apart.
“Diversity” at the top means nothing if they’re kicking those at the bottom.
I have an obligation to return my resources to society in ways that have the greatest impact for reducing suffering and improving lives. And I hope others in positions of great wealth and privilege will step up in this moment too.
Shame on every single MP who keeps quiet or stands by this man. They're condoning serial law-breaking, serial lying, the debasement of standards in public life.
Shout out the bus driver who let us hop on for free on our wedding day cuz our feet hurt and cheeky @JackieClune & @PhyllidaLloyd stole our flats 😂

Wasn’t expecting #TenPercent - the Call My Agent remake - to be as good tbh (🙈) but the cast, the music, the diversity, script, London…
it’s 💯 bingeworthy!! 👏🏽🎉 @PrimeVideo
Congratulations to Ollie and Angie, two Tootingites & stalwarts at @TootComKitchen, who recently got married at @TheBedfordPub, with their photos taken by another local, @KrishanthiPhoto – thanks for sharing!

@k8_lister “lunchtime” is far too late in workplaces… say breakfast at 8, packed lunch should be gone by 11, second lunch at 2, pre-dinner 5/6 and dinner at 8 🙌🏽
The Tories are letting energy bills soar by 54% today, up nearly £700.
In France, where energy companies are publicly owned, the government is only allowing a 4% rise.
Bring energy companies into public ownership and run them for our need, not corporate greed.
