@pokeefe1@NathSalt1 Im sure @pokeefe1 is correct and utd were reluctantly prepared to pay that for Fernandes but also aware that spurs would thrown whatever it took £££ to get him. Either way im sure both fans delighted how this has turned out. Some turnaround for utd s window.
I try to exercise patience and look for the positives, but outside of physical conditioning and injury management, I can’t think of one clear advantage of Amorim’s coaching/management philosophy.
Everything feels backwards. Not sure a single player in the squad is being optimised or platformed in their role better than they could with a different shape or tactical approach.
The biggest stain beyond anything tactical for me is his neglect of the academy. You just can’t be a Manchester United manager and treat the youth with such ambivalence.
Bringing on a defensive minded player who consistently lets the side down over academy products who he claims are ready to contribute is plain cowardly, and wholly representative of wider failings during his United tenure.
Can’t remember feeling this alienated and disconnected from the game because of a manager.
Indefensible to bring on Ugarte over Mainoo. Losing to the ten men of Everton then this tonight. One goal in total between the two games. How can ANYONE defend the way this manager behaves? It’s dire.
Benjamin Sesko on Instagram: "When you’re young, you dream big.
You imagine moments, stadiums, and shirts you hope will one day be yours.
Today, I’m stepping into that dream. Proud to be a Red Devil. Let’s go, Manchester United! 🔴"
