My bank account went negative this week, and it’s not a good feeling at all. I wasn’t paid from X this past pay period, which left me in a tough spot. I never planned to rely on this platform for income, but it’s been a huge help during an incredibly difficult season.
I lost my job back in February and have been searching nonstop since then. Thankfully, I was just offered a new position and I start on Tuesday. God was clearly looking out for me and timed it perfectly.
To everyone commenting and messaging me saying I need to “get a job instead of playing on this platform all day” — I’ve been fighting in family court for the past three years to keep my daughter. This platform is what made that possible. It helped me cover the nearly $30,000 I’ve spent on a family law attorney, and I’m forever grateful for it.
I’m honestly just confused about why I wasn’t paid. I’m not paused or demonetized, I was well above the minimum threshold, and I had over 20 million impressions (with 2 million from verified accounts). That income was holding me over until my next job started.
I’m so thankful to this platform for everything it’s allowed me to do, and I’m even more grateful to God for bringing me employment right when I needed it most.
