@HeatherL114 We have a large family at our small school who often will bake or get a small bag of chips(just 1 slice/bag per teachers) and attach a pun-ny note. It’s a small, heartfelt thing that means a lot.
@heymrsbond I teach math in a small rural school so used to teach an only 9th class but a few years ago we switched stuff up & now I have a really small 9th:6-8 Ss &then a class that’s half 9th half 10th. This seems pretty ideal! The half&half class gives the freshman some experienced models
@MoniseLSeward @OBrienSci I really started for me cuz I lose track of time. Unintended consequence: kids know they can work until my alarm & then have time to clean up without rushing.
@OBrienSci @MoniseLSeward I have alarms set for 2 minutes before the end of every period. Nobody leaves until the room is at least as clean as when they came in and I don’t care how late they are for next period.
@KatyDornbos Usually at the end of school day 4:00 pm but totally depends on parent availability. All staff who work with student are asked for input & we find a way to have staff attend meeting
@MoniseLSeward 1/once. Loose is the way to go. I order in bulk from https://t.co/FN0aTXYopB and have silicone strainer that sits on the rim of the cup.
@Mel_Edwards@teachbk I recently decided to stop because of an admin situation that made realize how little I’m valued. I have gotten more efficient w planning time but if it doesn’t get done at school 🤷♀️
