@Larryferlazzo I’m helping my daughter sign up for classes in her early college high school and it’s still mainly all online choices with little interaction and no community. The few in person classes with solid professors fill up fast.
Relatedness is critical 4 intrinsic motivation. Do students feel comfortable w/quality of their relationships at school, does their class work create situations where they connect w/ others w/whom they want 2 connect, & do they feel they belong to a community? #motivationhandbook
@Larryferlazzo There’s an assumption -if you have subject matter expertise u can teach it. Instructors, especially adjuncts, r generally not supported with teaching training. Most CA cc courses are taught by adjuncts who have little job security & low wages given their education level. 😒

@sarahesilverman You can set up a zoom call for the class and stream it for them to watch together. Lots of instructions on the internet to to this. Not asynchronous tho.
