I think this would be a good time to point out that there were more fired-up Albertans at our recent Rally for Respect (8,000) than UCP party members attending the UCP AGM being held this weekend in Red Deer (6,000). Watch our video! 👇✊ https://t.co/ZLlF3WQOWs #abpoli#AbLeg
In the May 2023 general election, Smith campaigned on health & education spending and a tax cut (still waiting on that one). When the election was over, Smith pivoted to pulling out of the CPP, blowing up AHS, adopting anti-vax and anti-transgender policies.

Hey Alberta… ever used a public service! Value it?
These are the people who make those public services run/work… our provincial govt does NOT value those services or these people…
How misguided is that?

Workers across Alberta are rallying.
They’re rallying for better wages. They’re rallying for improved working conditions. They’re rallying for respect from this UCP government.
And my NDP colleagues and I will be with them every step of the way.

Today, thousands of Albertans came out in force to tell the UCP government that the way they treat workers is unacceptable.
Everyone should be able to make a decent living. Education in our province continues to be underfunded by the UCP government, and Alberta is the last in the country for per-student funding.
Danielle Smith and the UCP government aren’t interested in fair negotiations. This heavy-handed move to appoint a dispute inquiry board before job action could even start shows a total disregard for workers and their rights.
Our government should be able to work with everyone and anyone to solve the problems we face together. The UCP can increase the budget to allow for substantial, vital wage increases that show we value and respect education and these workers.
Canada's nurses stand with Alberta nurses as they fight for safe staffing and better working conditions💪
Show your support for Alberta nurses this Thursday and together, let's send a strong message to the Alberta government. #NeedNursesAB#cdnhealth#canlab
