@ponderosa_223 @VailResorts The “rich people syndrome,” well, that boat has already floated and we need to figure out how to make the rich understand that community exists and prospers because people care about our mountain towns and skiing life.
@ponderosa_223 @VailResorts We all hate the money element that has destroyed mountain towns. But, perhaps a lawsuit is something that only Vail can understand. It’s a corporate entity that has historically been badly managed.
@ponderosa_223 @VailResorts They're the ones that take care of lives on the mountain. I’ve experienced my own injuries and that of clients, tenfold, and the patrollers no matter where, were the most dedicated people I’ve ever met. No offense, ski instructors, but part of your tips should go to them.
@ponderosa_223 @VailResorts Ski patrollers are your safety when opening a powder run on the first day, your medical rescue in an emergency, and oftentimes they give cool advice as to where to ski on any given day. They effing love their job and that many times is what keeps them going but for heaven’s sake,
@ponderosa_223 @VailResorts I’ve worked in the ski industry for over 20 years and in several countries, and I have always, always been astounded at how low the pay is for ski patrollers. These are the absolute stewards of every resort, they are everything in every sense.
@rojospinks When I took the driver’s license test in Chile there was a question: You’re drunk. You a) drive normally, b) drive slower, or c) elect not to drive at all.
@United: what is your problem? On phone 45 min while service rep searches for cost of "refund fee" for refundable flex int. fares. No info on site, no rep knows anything, but insists there is a refund fee — but no idea how much. Your call center is terrible.
