Depression isn’t always sadness.
Sometimes it’s:

• Feeling numb instead of sad
• Wanting to talk but not having the words
• Smiling so people don’t worry
• Feeling guilty for struggling
It’s heavy. And it’s misunderstood.

I keep thinking about the young girls who’ll read this and absorb it as the smart and enlightened take. I probably would have.

I’ve learned today that definitely not able to do full duty work still. My neck has not hurt this bad in a hot minute. I started to pick up heavier items today, and that’s where I went wrong. Idk why my doctor released me for full duty. Absolutely insane
I don’t want a soft life because I’m lazy. I want a soft life because I’ve spent most of my life in survival mode. my nervous system has been in fight or flight since childhood and now I’m choosing peace and stability.
