Every class plays the "Red Paperclip Challenge" where they trade a paperclip for various items before using persuasion to sell me their objects for bonus points. Usually groups get pens or broken electronics. Finally a group brought something really nice! My colors AND a bulldog!
My @LATech engineering students had me laughing today channeling their inner telemarketer to sell random object. Unfortunately, many of the "products" helped students get out of their class presentations. I'm not sure I loved that theme, but they were hilarious!
I LOVE this! A class of engineering students learned about dominance and aggression in my COMM 101 class, and then they decided to all dress up and use what they had learned in their engineering class the next day. π Their engineering professor sent me this text. How fun!
I enjoyed working with Hannah & other SUCCESS students. Dr. Cruise & I designed a communication course on how to present STEM research and combined an assignment between engineering and Comm classes to cover engineering content and presentation skills.

Graduation is a lot more fun when some of your favorites are graduating and family is giving the commencement address. πβ€οΈ

Always enjoy talking to the @LATechCOES students about how to prepare for their Design Expo to showcase their recent designs. It's even better when you and your coworker show up in matching outfits!

These ladies are the first ever from Louisiana Tech to win the most premier scholarship competition in STEM research. I was fortunate to teach them both their freshman year and to work with them through the intensive scholarship application process.

It was great spending time with an old college friend today, US Foreign Diplomat Nathan Bland came to talk to Tech students, had dinner with our family, and spoke to our college students at Cook.
