🎯There is no one-size-fits-all kidney diet.

Ask the questions:
“What are you eating?”
“Why are you eating it?”
“What can realistically change?”
“What does your culture, budget and routine allow?”
Dietary counselling should be collaborative, gradual and culturally sensitive.

@krithicism @WomenNeph_india @happiedoc @SwarnalathaGud2 @DrAkshayaJ @AnandhUrmila What can the different models be used in a case scenario?

What are the problems of AI?
FLUENT NOT= CORRECT
Hallucinate references
Fabricate facts
Misinterpret clinical contex
Reproduce bias
Expose confidential information
Convincing but unsafe answers

@krithicism @WomenNeph_india @happiedoc @SwarnalathaGud2 @DrAkshayaJ @AnandhUrmila AI can be used to predict outcomes in Dialysis and transplant

For Nephropathology

And for academics and research

#WINICON2026

[Sandhya Suresh @Sandyrvsdav]

@krithicism on AI in Nephrology

➡️If AI can predict an outcome like AKI earlier,what would Nephrologists do?

Prediction not=prevention

➡️An algorithm predicting AKl is useful only if we can act on the predictor

Prediction ➡️Alert ➡️Intervention ➡️Better outcomes

[Sandhya Suresh @Sandyrvsdav]

@krithicism @WomenNeph_india @happiedoc @SwarnalathaGud2 @DrAkshayaJ @AnandhUrmila The future is not Nephrologist vs AI
IT'S NEPHROLOGIST + AI

Need to use AI intelligently and ethically

Came cstraight from the Guwahati airport to the scintillating AKI symposium
@anushreeshirali took us through a ward rounds of Onconephrology with AKI and Electrolyte chaos. A few snippets from a case discussion on hypomagnesemia in a patient who received Cetuximab👇

Dr Aruna Acharya on tropical AKI -the hidden burden of infectious disease, very pertinent in the Indian context #winicon2026

[Priya John🇮🇳 @drpriyajohn]

Comprehensive talk about tropical AKI at #winicon2026 by Dr Aruna Acharya

✅Recognize early.
✅Identify and treat the underlying tropical cause.
✅Timely supportive care saves kidneys and lives.

Amazing talk on PRAKI at #winicon2026 by @smritisinha29

🟢Vigilance: small ⬆️in creatinine can represent significant AKI in pregnancy.
🟢Differentials: Keep hypertensive disorders, sepsis, bleeding, TMA and atypical HUS in mind
🟢Long-term renal follow-up of mother and child

From AKI to AKD, what are the updated guidelines?
Prof Dibya Singh Shah at the #winicon2026

[Women in Nephrology-India @WomenNeph_india]

@AnandhUrmila @Sandyrvsdav @assad_sm @KajareeG @drpriyajohn @drmanishasahay @krithicism AKD- now a separate entity, the phase between AKI and CKD
The ensures a continuum of care in patients with AKI

KDIGO AKI Update well elucidated by Dr Dibya Singh Shah
at #winicon2026
✅ AKI is a continuum—not an isolated event.
✅ 4-category nephrotoxin framework
✅ Look beyond creatinine: structural biomarkers can detect kidney stress/injury before a rise in serum creatinine.
