One of the biggest misconceptions I see among online business owners is that you need a huge budget to run paid ads.
In the beginning, even a $100 to $200 budget can help you test messaging, validate landing pages, and start collecting emails from qualified leads.
@Austen Betsy Ross and The Making of America
Covers way more than just her life. Definitely a must-read if you're interested in the revolutionary war period
WOW. This article is a complete masterclass in Search and Google ads for brands.
#5 is something Iβve struggled with, and I love the simple and elegant solution provided.
#7 is probably my favorite. Those campaigns are always fun to run π
Also loved the dashboard example for #8.
Insane value, thanks for sharing!
Sometimes one sentence in a book is enough to send you down a completely different rabbit hole.
Today's rabbit hole:
Radio advertising β audience measurement β attribution β paid media.
A single paragraph about CB radios in a classic copywriting book somehow had me thinking about radio attribution, audience measurement, and how those ideas eventually evolved into modern paid media.
Funny where curiosity takes you.
One of my favorite parts about working in marketing is realizing how much there still is to learn.
Looking forward to seeing which principles have stood the test of time, and which ones are even more relevant today.
Back to studying. π Always learning.
DMARC = Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance
DMARC builds on SPF and DKIM by telling inbox providers what to do when authentication fails (deliver, quarantine, or reject) and sends you reports so you can monitor their email security.
DMARC is your domain asking:
"What should happen if an email fails those authenticity checks?β
DKIM = DomainKeys Identified Mail
DKIM adds a digital signature that proves an email really came from your domain and wasn't modified along the way.
If someone intercepts the email and changes the content, the signature no longer matches, and the DKIM check fails.
DKIM is your domain asking:
"Can I prove this email is authentic and hasn't been altered?β
SPF = Sender Policy Framework
This is a DNS record that specifies which email services are allowed to send emails on behalf of your domain.
Without SPF, a scammer could impersonate your business.
SPF is your domain saying:
"These are the only email services I trust to send emails using my domain. If the email comes from somewhere else, be suspicious."
You've got to be deliverabilitymaxxing!
(In email marketing.)
Before you obsess over subject lines, copy, and CTAs, make sure your domain can actually prove it's legitimate.
SPF.
DKIM.
DMARC.
Your emails start earning trust before they're ever opened.
