I was completely stuck for months trying to stitch the maps together, so I redesigned almost everything in a couple of weeks. The first world (with 4 normal tracks, 1 boss track, and 1 battle stage) is progressing really well. #Amphibia

I've had some issues with spamming and scamming in the past, so I don't want to post it publicly again.
Finished up a new enemy type. These little hermit crabs are a bit tricky to beat. They like to hide behind their invulnerable ceramic mug armor. You'll need to use combos to get through it! Hit them again in midair to stun them, then keep the damage going while they're dazed.
@CozSnot Nah, there’s not going to be a mobile port unfortunately. It would honestly be very difficult and time consuming to make work, and I’m already in way over my head, so there’s no plans for it.
I had to take another little break from the project for life reasons, but I'm still going, slowly but surely.
For example, here's some new highly requested features. The game now auto saves your progress, and you can remap keyboard controls! Plus some groundwork for translations.
Today it's 2 years since I started working on #Amphibia Racing! It wasn't gonna get any further than the 2021 post since I knew how much work gamedev is, but it happened anyway.

Had to take a month long break because work, but I'm back at it!
I added a basic cutscene system to go along with the upgraded dialogue one. This clip is nonsense and uses unrelated dialogue, but it shows what kind of things the new system can do.

If we hypothetically did some kind of Calamity Beatdown themed fan art contest, with one of these as the prize, would anyone be interested? Like would anyone actually enter?
I have 1 final signed card that I can’t really decide what to do with.
Got some neat swag at a book signing earlier today. They were even nice enough to sign a few extra copies for other members of the dev crew. Thanks again to everyone for all the support.
