Hmm. The Trump administration is canceling teen pregnancy prevention programs that include consent and contraception, anything but "abstinence only." From this president, you'd think they'd introduce a "philandering only" curriculum. https://t.co/9QoZhSXuPj
🚨BREAKING: Men posed as ICE agents and detained and assaulted a woman… and Tom Homan is telling everyone that they just have to comply with this.
A woman was driving on Highway 211, in Oregon, when a vehicle with flashing red and blue lights pulled behind her.
Believing she was being stopped by law enforcement, she pulled over.
Two men approached her vehicle, one was carrying a rifle, and they claimed to be ICE agents and told her she was being detained.
They pulled her out of her car, searched her, and put her in the back of their vehicle.
Then, a third man… who remained inside the vehicle… assaulted her.
He told her he was the “guard.”
The men were wearing tactical vests labeled “POLICE,” carrying fake badges, and wore face coverings.
They held her for nearly 20 minutes before telling her she was free to go… and then she drove herself to the hospital.
And while she was there, she reported that she started receiving text messages from someone claiming to be a law firm offering legal representation for her detention.
Federal authorities later confirmed this was NOT an official ICE operation… These were people pretending to be federal agents.
And this is exactly why Tom Homan telling people to “comply” with anyone claiming to be ICE is so incredibly dangerous.
Because what is a person supposed to do when someone in a tactical vest, carrying a gun, pulls them over with flashing lights and says they are federal agents?
Just trust them?
This is not about telling people to resist legitimate law enforcement.
This is about the government normalizing a system where anyone can look like an armed federal agent, claim to have authority over you, and expect you to obey without being able to verify who they are.
That doesn’t make people safer.
It makes everyone more vulnerable to being kidnapped, assaulted, or killed by criminals who know they can pretend to be ICE.
The Department of Energy admitted in court it cancelled hundreds of grants "based solely on the political identity of the grant recipient's state," and NOT "based on any programmatic, statutory, cost-reduction, or performance-based factor."
This proves the White House lied.
BREAKING NYT:
Federal officials said in court documents that they halted billions of dollars in funding for energy projects to states "based solely" on whether they backed Trump in the 2024 election.

The advocacy group Ohio Immigrant Alliance released a list of 59 active and former ICE and CBP agents charged with sexual and violent crimes between 2007 and 2026.
Fifty of 59 cases the group documented were sex crimes, many of them committed against children. https://t.co/DLTuqfjLIq
I previously reported that the growth rate and composition of Trump's wealth gain in office are unprecedented in recent history.
Upon request, here is the data on the relative size of Trump's presidential windfall. The extent of his self-enrichment is even more striking.
They keep asking why people are angry.
Because we work harder, pay more, own less and watch politicians hand our future to billionaires and bomb manufacturers.
That clear enough?
Miller warned Democrats want to seize private industry.
His own administration holds equity stakes in ten plus companies right now, Intel included, at a scale researchers call unprecedented outside wartime.
He's not describing a threat. He's describing his boss's Tuesday.
My students sometimes ask why they should memorise things in the age of Google and LLMs. But internalised facts are your bullshit filters and your raw material for creative association. Facts outside your head are inert.
The Economist: You have close to 250 million followers on X. You say things like "civil war in Britain is inevitable. Just a question of when"
Elon Musk: On the current trend, yes.
The Economist: When were you last in the UK?
Musk: A few years ago
The Economist: Exactly. I live there. That is nonsense. The numbers also disprove what you say. London is a much safer city than any city in the US. You have painted Europe and the UK as overrun with terrifying Muslim immigrants, there's rape on every corner, there's civilizational destruction.
Musk: I didn't say any of those things.
Let's be clear. Trump is not attacking Iran to stop the threat from that repressive dictatorship to its people, the region, or the U.S. Trump is bombing Iran to try to reopen the Straight of Hormuz that was open before he started his war.
Oil is back above $100, and gas is above $4.
These numbers are brutal for inflation and Americans' pocketbooks.
And there is no end in sight for their fundamental cause: Trump's war of choice in Iran.
