music being easily imitable doesn’t mean it’s bad, and being able to imitate music isn’t necessarily an insightful form of criticism. regardless of your opinion of taylor swift, many great artists throughout history have created music that’s very easy to imitate; being able to replicate their musical ideas takes away nothing from the music itself, as the difficult part is the creation of these ideas in the first place, regardless of how innovative the ideas are
