I am so deeply, utterly, and without words moved by this. Our country is in tatters and he gave us 25+ hours of reasons to wake up and start caring again 💙

More on their way!
Jarring to walk outside and see people seem so normal today. Business as usual, at dinner, laughing. A shattering of a false belief that you’re ok in your liberal community. Suddenly looking at every person and wondering “Are you someone who thinks I shouldn’t have rights?”
We marched. We rallied. We fundraised. We donated. We organized. We called. We postcarded. We canvassed. We spoke with our family members. We drove people to the polls.
The other side had no ground game.
At some point, people made the decision to leave 1930s Germany.
there is a kind of … nihilism and resignation on the left tonight. like: let’s see Trump actually enact 10 percent tariffs, let’s see how much you people love him when he shreds government services, we’ll just stand by and watch. No longer the resistance, more like the bystanders. I hope you get what you voted for.
I thought this would hurt more than 2016 but it doesn't.
That was a shock. This is just confirmation.
We now know that 2016 wasn't a fluke or an aberration, that this is what the majority wants: whiteness, patriarchy, nationalism, hatred, nihilism.
Whether I want to spend the rest of my life in such a place is something my mind isn't prepared to consider.
Right now, I just know that I'm seeing the nation with my eyes fully open and there is no mistaking what so many people I Ioved and once respected, actually value.
As heartbreaking as that is, I now know where they stand, and I know it's nowhere I want to be.
No matter what happens on Tuesday, it's remarkable what Kamala Harris and her team have done in just barely 100 days. She has been nearly flawless, as has her campaign, in an unprecedented effort.
Senior women supporting Harris by a 2-1 margin in Iowa poll is a reminder that it's not just young women who care about abortion.
Over a long life, almost every woman has either experienced a miscarriage or helped a close friend through one. They know how personal this is.
Part of me wishes they wouldn’t publish this days before the election as I worry it will motivate the other side to turn out in higher numbers on Election Day, as they’re already more inclined to vote day-of.
