@slateauto My 2016 daily driver has manual windows. There has only been a couple of times when I wished I had power windows. There have been more times when I was thankful I could open or close the windows without having to get my keys.
I love having manual windows.

Do the inspections keep unsafe junkers off the road? It doesn't look like it - well, maybe some of them. I've lived in states that don't have mandatory inspections and they are not swamped with junk cars driving around.

Wasting two hours at the auto shop to get a VA state inspection on a newer vehicle with low miles. Multiply my experience across all of the vehicles in the state = huge waste of time every year.
