@680TheFan ....Jarvis/Dubon/Mateo at the position and shift to go big in getting Byron Buxton.
If they're able to acquire Pena, then focus on Mickey Moniak, Jo Adell, or Taylor Ward.
The focus should be SP first and foremost, with all prospects available.
@680TheFan In terms of need, I would like to see them target Sonny Gray, Robby Ray, Eduardo Rodriguez, Mike Soroka, Casey Mize, and Taylor Rogers, with the goal of acquiring at least two of them for the rotation.
For SS, Jeremy Pena should be the goal. Otherwise, ride out....
@RealShelfy Didn't need to steal from anyone, it was a quick look up, just like this one. And Harper doesn't lead in OPS+, it's even.
It's almost as if the stats change daily. I would probably be upset if my team overpaid for Bryce Harper as well.
@MattVerderame Allen, Jackson, Burrow, and Mahomes yes....however, Maye is absolutely arguable.
Maye was better last year, Nix was better in their first year. It's too early to say Maye isn't even arguable. Everyone is riding high on him based upon one season, just like Daniels.
Give it...
@bridgertaylor_5@MattVerderame@RyanJKosior Do you have that same energy for Drake Maye? Did he farm numbers against a worst schedule? Ravens, Bills, and Steelers were the only teams on his regular season schedule with winning records.
@fightisland1@MattVerderame@RyanJKosior Nix did not have the easiest schedule last year. In the playoffs he threw for 250+ yards with 3 touchdowns and got the team to the AFC Championship game, which he didn't play in. Not really a "worst playoff stretch of all time" scenario.
@Philly_Isaac Schwarber does not have better numbers than Ohtani. Not to mention the fanbase for Ohtani will get him elected easily.
Olson and Harper is not a toss up, even with Olson cooling off some.
Miller, O'Brien, Igleasis, Suarez, and possibly Sewald will likely get first nods.
@tripleaxehandle@ScottKacsmar ....but also made mistakes trying to make things happen for the team to win. Anyone that watched him knows that for a fact.
@tripleaxehandle@ScottKacsmar For Elway it's excuses, for everyone else it's reasons.
I watched football throughout that era (I question whether he was old enough to do so in that era) and Elway is being downplayed.
He is a top 10 quarterback. He did alot with a little for the majority of his career....
@officialdanjchr@chiefs_outsider Understood....my reply is in reference to "couldn't win in the playoffs", which is untrue. He just couldn't win in the SB.
@officialdanjchr@chiefs_outsider Couldn't win in the playoffs? He was 3-1 in the AFC Championship game prior to Shanahan and company.
He couldn't win in the Super Bowl without them, but tell me a team where the QB was the soul weapon and they were able to win the SB without weapons, supporting cast, or defense
