@___aaddrriiaann My guess is some level of the increasing number/severity of drones targeting Ukrainian property within Europe and the recent near-hit on European politicians in or near Ukraine plus whatever's still behind the curtain of intelligence. But know knows.
@DecampDave I think technically no government can officially purchase weapons directly from a contractor. It has to be a sale to the USG, and then a government to government sale or transfer. In the meantime, yes, taxpayer dollars do have to float to move the material.
@Raudenbusch1@Pirat_Nation Tbh, I expect it with it for anything set in the far future since we'll probably be closer to a normal distribution in skin tone by then imo. I don't see that choice as being comparable to titles set in near-modern times or before.
@DastDn Maybe I need to read the original source some, but in the article, it doesn't state in the quotation that the Pentagon would own it, just that the Pentagon is seemingly offering a loan of some kind in exchange for a stake. I'm against Pentagon ownership, but idk if this is that.
@sdamico Yeah, I'd say a launch site, mission control center, Huntsville, or LA. I know there's some industry in the bay, but it's just not on the level of any of these other locations for industrial or infrastructure support.
@GeorgeRoush One ray of hope might be whatever Lockheed was losing a bunch of money on in their Aerospace division that they can't tell anyone about. Other than that... ๐คท
@crimsoncapsule1@cremieuxrecueil If you apply that trend here, that should only equate to an ~.4 modern rate. Even including lower spoilage/waste rates, I don't think that would account for the full drop.
@NapoleonBonabot Failure to prosecute existing laws is not a reason to institute new laws caused by a lack of action. That just leaves a more complex system that's harder to enforce.
@NapoleonBonabot Equating a medical procedure to prescribing an addictive drug with a known black market is certainly a choice.
In both cases, physicians should be punished for neglecting to research the impact or purposefully ignoring it. Legislating every private decision is not the answer.
