Let me give you another perspective here to illustrate the absurdity of what we're witnessing:

The SAME group of women who are pushing for Lindsay Clancy to be acquitted on the grounds that, "her doctors and husband failed her by not intervening earlier and taking control over her treatment", are the SAME group of women who would blow a complete GASKET at any man for proposing that a husband and doctors should have the ability to intervene and take control over a woman's decisions on her own treatment.

And it's so easy to imagine their chants in that alternative universe:

"How dare you take a mother away from her children!"

"A husband has no authority over what a woman needs for her own body, especially after a pregnancy!"

"Until a man gives birth, how a woman takes care of herself after birth is none of their business!"

"How male of you to want to control women!"

"Involuntarily committing a woman who is feeling down after pregnancy is the definition of The Handmaid's Tale!"

Had that pre-murder intervention actually occurred here, EVERY SINGLE ONE of these raving women outside of the courthouse would be DOWNPLAYING Clancy's diagnosis, characterizing her emotions as routine baby blues, and STRESSING the autonomy that Clancy, a fierce, independent tiger woman should have been able to retain in the face of men trying to control her.

So which is it, Western Woman?

Either: (A) there are some circumstances when women become so utterly unstable that they lose any right to their own agency; or (B) a woman's agency is never the business of men?

I assure you, it cannot be both.

On September 3, 2019, a fire ripped through Emma Schols’ home in Edsbyn, Sweden.

She got some of her children outside, then turned around and ran back into the flames for the rest.

She threw herself over the younger ones to shield them, carried them out, and went back again until every single one of her six kids was safe.

By the time she collapsed, 93 percent of her body was burned. Doctors called survival at that level almost impossible. She was placed in a medically induced coma, spent three weeks on a ventilator, and endured more than 20 surgeries and skin grafts.

When she finally woke up, the first thing she asked was whether her children were still alive. All six had made it out without serious injury.

She later said, “If I birthed six kids, I’m gonna get six kids out.” And she did. She nearly d*ed so they could live. She still carries the scars across her body and wears them with pride.

Now compare that to Lindsay Clancy, who k*lled her own three children and has been treated as a tragic figure deserving of public fundraising and sympathy. One mother walked through fire, over and over, to protect the lives she created. The other ended those lives and became a cause.

This is the difference. A real mother risks everything to save her children. A m*rderer takes them.

Then he put the choice squarely on the Council:

Congressman Self has been fighting this fight with everything he has to protect Texas from the march of Islamic supremacy.
