When I was a child, my grandfather would sometimes solemnly intone at the dinner table: "The purpose of socialism is to organize scarcity."

As a kid it sort-of didn't register in my brain as meaning anything beyond "socialism bad", but eventually when I was 12 or something, I did ask what he meant by those specific words.

And he said: socialists establish control of valuable resources and then create an artificial scarcity of these resources, so that they can then use them as a tool of control by deciding who gets and doesn't get those resources.

And I thought that was wrong. I mean, are socialists misguided? Sure. But to claim that they deliberately create scarcity as a means of political control? That seemed far-fetched.

But, of course, he was entirely correct.

Officially done pursuing the pro league. It’s been a fun journey but I’ve got a bright future in my career and a lovely lady I want to provide for in the future.

I’ll be putting together a Team Retired team for the cups and majors next year for fun but not going to be scrimming basically at all.

I’m also going to be putting more of a focus on content creation and streaming. I’m an entertainer at heart and will always be apart of the COD community.

I’ve loved helping give others a pathway to the league and I’ll probably be finding a way to give talent more opportunities even if i’m not actively competing (more to come on that). Thank you for all my teammates over the years especially @ChocoTheWarrior & thank you to @TeamEvictix for being the best organization I’ve ever represented. I’m hyped to continue my partnership with them.

I’ll be around. Putting my focus on my Lord, my family, my lady and my future. Thankful to Jesus for igniting this passion for COD in my life. Thankful for all the memories, friendships and experiences I’ve gotten. Although I wish I could have been a professional, I have no regrets. God has something bigger planned and I’m just along for the ride.
