Grief is there. Always. Just because I’m not talking about it doesn’t mean I’m not thinking about loss. Or not exhausted from navigating a world now blanketed in loss.
This should not take away from what this 2024 Texas A&M baseball team has done. The players make the team, not the coaches. Less than 24 hours ago we were one of the last two teams standing, playing for a National Championship.
Nothing can take that away from us.
@kristiethornton @HollyStallcup Yes, I echo all of these!
I would also add seating by the teacher/front of the class (she may already be doing this but having it there for MS would be helpful) and chunked assignments so instead of giving her the entire task she does part 1 then comes back for the next part.
@HollyStallcup Bleh. I hate these “tricks and rules” she’s having to use already. 5th grade math will be miserable if that’s all she is taught. DMing you.
@HollyStallcup Holly, I did the same thing yesterday. I sent an email I’d been putting off for a month. Sometimes the weight is too much. It seems so silly when I told my friend about it, but it’s real.
@writtenbyhand Been waiting for this book since I first heard about your work on it! Seeing that @hareematifkhan worked on it with you just made me that much more excited for it!
@kaley_whitton@emilykmay I most definitely heard statements like this one.
Glad you weren’t subjected to some of the same statements and beliefs but that doesn’t make others’ critiques less valid.
Hope arrived. Not in a politician, a political party, ideology, or system, or even a nation.
Rather, hope arrived in the person of Jesus Christ.
This advent and Christmas season, may we be reminded again to place our ultimate hope in Christ and Christ alone. Amen.
