@SinBinVegas Totally agree with everything you said here, which is unusual for me at times. Cool article, great choices! Hope you’re having a good summer!!
@TDChrisG Past personal issues aside, do we really think Hart is the guy? He did get scored on with regularity through out the playoffs, and Carolina lit him up in what was a record breaking bad goaltending performance. He may be a good, humble guy, but is he really an elite 1G?
@SinBinVegas@dotvegasinc So you’re saying that Carolina was so much more physically and mentally prepared than VGK that even Vegas best, most full out total effort was not enough to get more than a couple shots in the last 2 periods of a Cup elimination game? That’s a helluva talent and fitness disparity
@TDChrisG Do you enjoy watching the other team skate that trophy around TMobile? That is one of the most “in your face” moments in pro sports. In your barn….
@SinBinVegas No shots in the last 15 minutes of the 2nd period shows how little effort Vegas is putting forward. They are mentally and physically beaten, and I think everyone watching knows it. VGK may have made a late season run into the Cup final, but this is a team with serious problems.
@mc_lxix@GoldTeamBad While I agree with this overall, if CAR wins the Cup, it’s going to result in a short summer for a beat up VGK…with nothing to show for it. Vegas doesn’t have young players who gain valuable experience from this. They’re an older team who’ll feel the effects of the short summer.
@TDChrisG And the “stubborn old man” issue rises again. I think Smith has far more upside in Gm6 than Saad. But Torts gets locked on something and almost makes it a point to keep with it…. successful or not. Torts has been out coached thus far, especially in Gm5.
@TDChrisG Agreed, but I think the whole “stubborn old man” thing is wearing thin. Saying “we’ll be fine” and “we’ll be ready to play” and then not being fine or ready. Doing exactly the same things over again that Carolina has clearly figured out. I think he’s being out coached.
