🇺🇸 NYC, May 31, 2026: A 23 year old Jewish woman sent CAM footage of her assault on a subway train.

Around 2:15 PM, a woman told her she could “smell the babies” she had eaten and yelled that “Jews eat babies” before choking her, throwing her to the ground, and beating her.

Are you aware that in the countries where the overwhelming majority of orthodox Christians reside, only 6% of them attend church services regularly? And that is among those claiming the faith, not general population. Part of the problem with this worldview is that the "75% of Americans who say restaurants should be kid free because of screaming children" aren't actually surrounded by legitimately screaming children 99% of the time.

Yes, gentle parenting is a problem that needs addressing, & kids should not be completely unruly... but nothing has shocked me more as a new parent than seeing pessimistic adults' visceral reaction to my baby making a single noise in public and angrily calling it "screaming."

It's not.

Babies belong in public just as much as adults do.

But the real story is bigger than one tech CEO's transhumanism. There is an entire industry — left and populist right — incentivized to keep you afraid of the most powerful tool man has ever built.

AI is not the apocalypse, and it's not the messiah.

Conservatives have been reflexively retreating from cultural and technological arenas for decades, and it has cost us enormously. We can’t let that happen with AI.

The short-term disruption might be painful. But in the medium and long term, AI could be the most powerful tool for human flourishing ever devised.

My 3rd grader had both computer lab as an enrichment and a Chromebook in her classroom this year.

The detox from tech that we’d have to do every day last fall drove all of us insane.

So we made a deal in the spring: if the teachers let them have “free play” on the Chromebook (which seemed to be a frequent thing, it wasn’t really being used for actual instruction, it was just busy work/killing time), and if she had a choice of what to do, if she chose to read a book & then complete an AR test instead of playing bottle or doing iReady or scrolling Epic, we’d pay her $2 per book & test.

I‘ve paid out about $120, but my kid’s brain wasn’t mushy after school anymore and her vocabulary & reading comprehension improved so much she jumped 20 points on the Star reading assessment they took at the end of the year.
