.NET 9 introduces a new caching API: HybridCache.

It solves the limits of IMemoryCache and IDistributedCache.

What does it offer?

- Unified API (in-process + out-of-process)
- Configurable serialization
- Stampede protection
- Tag-based eviction

You’ll use GetOrCreateAsync — it checks primary + secondary caches, and if missing, calls the factory method, stores the result, and returns it.

Stampede protection? Only one request per key runs the factory at a time.
