EQUALITY 🤡
Her name is Shilpa Shinde.
She is 48 years old and one of Indian television's most recognisable faces. For years she played Angoori Bhabhi in the hit show Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain on &TV.
She won Bigg Boss 11 in 2018. Since December 2025 she has been back on the same show in its rebooted version.
In 2016, she had a bitter falling out with the show's producer Sanjay Kohli. The dispute involved her contract, her exit from the show and payments she said were owed to her.
She alleged that other producers in the industry did not support her. At the time, she filed a sexual harassment complaint against Sanjay Kohli. The complaint became national news.
On June 2 2026, she appeared on a podcast hosted by comedians Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa.
In that conversation, she said this.
"Nobody knows this. I am not scared of saying the truth. Maine apne producer ke upar sexual harassment ka case kar diya tha kyun ki mere pass koi raasta nahi tha."
(I had filed a sexual harassment case against my producer because I had no other option.)
She then said: "Main aaj iske through bol rahi hun woh jhooth tha. Main yeh aaj first time confess kar rahi hun sach much."
(Today through this platform I am saying for the first time that it was false. I am genuinely confessing the truth today.)
She explained that the police had told her she needed to write something serious to make the complaint viable, and that she had done so. A settlement was eventually reached and her outstanding payment was cleared.
Speaking about Sanjay Kohli, she said: "Bechara woh usme badnaam hogaya." The poor man ended up being defamed because of it.
Within hours of the podcast clip circulating, NCMIndia Council for Men Affairs, a Delhi-based men's rights organisation, wrote to Mumbai Police on June 2 2026 demanding that action be taken against Shilpa Shinde for filing a false complaint.
The hashtag ArrestShilpaShinde began trending on X.
Sanjay Kohli has not made a public statement in response.
No FIR has been filed against Shilpa Shinde as of the time of this post. No legal action has been initiated.
India's Supreme Court has observed on multiple occasions since 2001 that sexual harassment laws are being misused.
It said so in 2001, 2005, 2014, 2017 and 2022. It has issued guidelines each time. The law has not been amended once.
Sanjay Kohli was named publicly in a complaint that, by the complainant's own admission on a public platform, was not true. He has been carrying that for ten years.

@anjanaomkashyap The fact that you chose to remain defiant, even after knowing somewhere down the line that you're guilty. That speaks way too much about you. Have some shame and apologise.

Vishnu Tiwari:
False Rape Accused, acquitted but,

What an equality
Ladies & Gentlemen ?
Welcome to
Gender Biased India
#Adultery#GenderBias
A MURDERED MAN HAS LESS SERIOUSNESS IN EYES OF LAW THAN WORDS OF A WOMAN
I feel totally lost today.
Over the last few years, I have personally worked with men who are victims of #falserape cases who spent anything from 5 months to 5 years in false rape cases. No matter how many proofs they had of their innocence, courts did not grant them bail merely because "allegations" & "charges" against them were serious as recorded in their bail rejection orders
BUT
I am seeing women being granted bail within days or months even when they played an active role in the death of a man whether in abetment to suicide cases or even MURDERS !!!
WHAT EQUALITY IS THIS?
NOT EVEN 1 YEAR IN JAIL !!!?
Hi @Cityflo_India it would help us and you a lot if you can run shuttle buses between Parnasree Lake Behala and Dalhousie area. That area being the most affected due to rapidly declining public transport will help us a lot if shuttles are provided.
@TheOfficialSBI, your Kolkata's Parnasree Branch remains one of the most worst branches, where the CDM and ATM machines are either out of service, or full or the shutter is down all the time.
Please enlighten me to how manage this and deposit cash if there's a need at home?
Hello @ECISVEEP#GyaneshKumar,
I from West Bengal submitted all the valid documents, went to the SIR hearing, and still, my name is deleted from the rolls.
Submitted my objection application to the DEO. Yet, nothing happened.
