Finally, I’m in Lviv❤️🇺🇦
And I can say it again -
I love this city so much.
There’s something special
About its atmosphere.
The ancient architecture,
Beautiful streets, beautiful people…
Lviv just feels different.
The trip was more or less okay,
Even though shaheds were flying during part of my way here.
But I made it.
I’m safe.
I’m incredibly tired,
But happy and grateful to be here -
And to see this beautiful Ukrainian city again💙💛
A new bookstore opened in Kyiv.
I visited it today.
russian drones burn warehouses full of books and damage whatever they can reach.
A new bookstore opened in Kyiv. russia will never win.
On Sunday, I sent a letter.
Since March 16, 2022, Ukraine has observed a minute of silence to honour defenders and civilians killed in the war.
Every day at 9 am.
I looked into the history of collective silence, and it became a letter.
1) Understandably many are confused where so much water came from with no lakes. We need to understand the scale of this. 🧵
> The glacier face that collapsed is ~1.5 kms wide & 1.4 kms deep. That height alone is nearly twice that of Burj Khalifa.
Kyiv.
Having a warcoffee in my favourite place.
I can feel autumn.
That crisp air that says it’s coming.
Windows were adjusted, some radiators were changed.
After autumn, winter comes.
I’m already thinking about it.
You rarely hear about these impacts of war.
Ukraine has evacuated about 700,000 museum objects from frontline areas to safer locations.
Now the country is working on specialised storage facilities and digital records for museum collections.
According to Culture Minister Tetiana Berezhna.
Ukraine is going to be European, become a member of the EU, and join NATO - Finnish President Alexander Stubb
"What were Russia's strategic aims in this war? One was to deny Ukraine's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Failure.
Number one: Ukraine is going to be European. It's going to become an EU member state and, eventually, a NATO member state."

Efforts to deal with the aftermath of the Russian strikes are ongoing in Kyiv, as well as in Kharkiv. Last night, the Russians launched more than 60 missiles at the capital alone. In total, 70 missiles and 611 drones were used against Ukraine. As of now, 28 people have been reported injured and four killed in the capital. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. A Russian strike on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra set the Dormition Cathedral on fire – a church whose history dates back to the 11th century. And this is one of Russia’s most serious crimes against Christian culture to date. The State Emergency Service has already extinguished the fire on the cathedral’s roof. In Kharkiv, the Russians carried out a repeat strike against our rescuers as they were putting out a fire at the site of an earlier strike on an industrial facility. So far, tragically, five people have been confirmed killed. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. Nine people have been injured. In Dnipro, Russia struck the grounds of a railway station, a college, and several enterprises.
Other cities and communities were targeted as well. The Kyiv, Dnipro, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Mykolaiv regions were also under attack. This is how Russia shows the world its intention to continue the war. It is very important that there be a response from the G7 countries, which are now gathering for their summit – and that this response be decisive and substantive: more pressure on the aggressor and more support for Ukraine’s air defense, especially anti-ballistic capabilities. I thank everyone who is helping us protect lives.
Three years ago, russia destroyed the Kakhovka Dam.
The flood badly damaged Polina Raiko’s painted house in occupied Oleshky.
She began painting at 69 and turned her home into art.
The video shows a reconstruction of the house, created for the Ukraine WOW exhibition.
Amid all these attacks, it may go unnoticed that Kyiv hosted a literary festival with 27,000 visitors.
But it speaks volumes about us.
I wrote about what I took from it in my new members’ letter:

I filmed this moment.
For three days, to mark Kyiv Day, the fountain of Kyiv’s founders came back to life.
Why only for three days?
Because of security and energy-saving measures during the war.
