All our fault lines-be it religious, caste, regional, or linguistic- can wait.
As a country, we have only about 15 years to become a decent middle income country with inclusive growth.
Otherwise, we will get old before we become economically self sufficient.
The benefits of the demographic dividend will start declining from around 2040. Even now, our demographic dividend is being wasted.
If we don’t make it in the next 15 years, we risk remaining poor forever.
It’s been a minute.

Today
CRED is ready for its next phase. I am stepping back and @miten steps in as interim CEO, partnered with an incredibly talented team. He has been heading strategy and finance and suffering me since 2020. I’m stepping away from the operating role and will continue as a shareholder. My commitment doesn’t change. Just the role.
Extremely grateful to our members, partners, regulators, and investors who made this possible. And to our board, Shailendra, Micky, Saurabh for their extraordinary conviction.
Team CRED, I’ll still expect you to be a 10x version of yourselves.
As for me, I’ll be joining Meta to lead WhatsApp globally.
Meta comes in as a minority investor in CRED. No access to member data.
While it’s come very far, the delta between WhatsApp today and its full potential is massive. I look forward to working with Mark, Chris, and the leadership across Meta for the next step in WhatsApp’s journey. Will, thank you for scaling something the world relies on quietly, and for making this transition smooth.
Onwards.
"Whole country including opposition stood behind her and outraged against Trump"
That's because Meloni herself stood for the country first and gave a fitting reply to shut Trump unlike someone you're referring who didn't even post when Trump kept calling us "hellhole", dead economy, attacked Indian sailors or claimed that he helped ending war with Pakistan.
Leaders have to show courage first not just photo ops to get support from its public.
This is water 🚰 from our society this week
No added preservatives, that’s exactly the colour of water delivered by tankers
We pay ~70L every year for water tankers, if this is the situation for us … imagine what the restaurants and roadside eateries are getting
A silent health pandemic is awaiting in Pune. With this type of water for chores and drinking, very soon health, skin diseases, water borne diseases will follow
The condition is pathetic after paying 1-1.5Cr for flats and have to live in such circumstances
Don’t fall for the headline.
In 2014, excise duty on petrol was ₹9.48/litre. By May 2020, while the world was locked down and crude had crashed to $20/barrel, Modi govt hiked it to ₹32.98/litre. A 348% spike. They collected ₹38.89 lakh crore from fuel taxes in 10 years.
Now “scrapping excise”, but only on E22 to E30 ethanol-blended petrol. Not your regular fuel. A blend that, per a survey of 37,000+ vehicle owners, caused unusual wear & tear in 28% of vehicles bought before 2022, with 2/3rds reporting a mileage drop. Two major bike makers & Shell India warned: pre-2023 vehicles risk engine damage and warranty loss.
So here’s the conflict of interest no one’s talking about:
🔴 The govt mandates E20 blending nationwide → forces you onto a fuel that damages your older vehicle → the ethanol supply chain benefits sugar mill lobbies with deep political connections → Nitin Gadkari’s family business is tied to Maharashtra’s sugar belt. The govt itself admitted mileage drops up to 6% in older vehicles.
You pay for the fuel. You pay for the repairs. You pay for the insurance gap.
And today’s “good news”? It doesn’t cut retail prices by a single rupee. It just incentivises higher ethanol blending; pushing you deeper into a fuel your vehicle wasn’t built for.
This isn’t relief. It’s a con wrapped in a press release.
First, bleed the common man. Then rebrand the knife as medicine.
Gadkari promised in 2018: petrol at ₹55/litre, diesel at ₹50/litre via ethanol blending.
2026 reality: petrol = ₹102.12, diesel = ₹90+. The cheap fuel never arrived.
But Nikhil Gadkari's company went from ₹18 Cr revenue to ₹523 Cr revenue. The promise failed citizens. The policy succeeded for family.
Deceptive headline. All petrol available in India is adulterated with ethanol, e20 being the standard (as declared on paper). The excise duty waiver has only been announced for petrol with over 22% adulteration with ethanol.
Over 80% petrol vehicles in India are not compatible with anything above e10. This madness to add more and more ethanol is just an attack on the finances of the vehicle owners.
Media headlines like these are trying to whitewash a blatant scam going on right in front of our eyes.

In April, a 25-year-old man was visiting LA and met a girl he met on an app for anonymous hook-ups. Soon after he met her, @vitalyzdtv, livestreaming to 24,000+ viewers on Kick, jumped out of some bushes and flasely accused him of being a pedophile.

The unfortunate reality is Gen Z is able to survive because of the support continued to be provided by their parents, the boomer uncles and aunties.
Every parents would want their children do better than them. In many cases, it is not so. It is becoming very common to see youth completing colleges and just stay home depending fully on their parents. Either they don't get jobs or they don't want to take jobs they don't like. If you are a fresher, getting employment is becoming a big challenge.
Her name is Aradhana Prakash.
She was 14 years old in August 1990. Ruchika Girhotra’s best friend. A fellow tennis trainee at the Haryana Lawn Tennis Association.
She was in the room when S P S Rathore called them both to his office. He sent her out on a pretext. When she returned she found Ruchika distressed.
She was the sole eyewitness. The only person who could testify to what happened that day.
For 19 years Rathore tried to silence her.
He filed civil case after civil case against her family. Cases against journalists covering the story. Cases against the lawyers fighting it.
Ruchika died in December 1993. Her father and brother were harassed so badly they had to leave Panchkula entirely.
Aradhana and her parents stayed.
Her father Anand Prakash and mother Madhu Prakash attended over 400 hearings across 19 years. Every single one. They never settled. They were never intimidated.
The court found Aradhana’s testimony unimpeachable. The judgment relied on her as the sole witness to convict Rathore in December 2009.
When Rathore was attacked outside court by a member of the public she went on television and asked people not to take the law into their own hands. She said that for 19 years they had always worked within the law.
Her father Anand Prakash died of prostate cancer in January 2018 aged 74. He had attended more than 400 hearings. He lived long enough to see Rathore convicted. He did not live long enough to see justice feel complete.
Yesterday, many people here read the story of Ruchika Girhotra for the first time.
Most of them had never even heard her name before.
They should.

Her name was Madhumita Shukla.
She was 24 years old. A poet from Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. Known across UP for reciting poems of courage at literary gatherings without notes.
She was six months pregnant when she was killed.
On May 9, 2003, two men knocked on her door in Lucknow’s Paper Mill Colony. She recognised them and let them in.
Minutes later, her helper heard a gunshot from the next room. Madhumita was dead. Shot in the chest.
CBI established she had been in a relationship with Amarmani Tripathi. A four time MLA and sitting cabinet minister in Uttar Pradesh. She was pregnant with his child for the third time. She had refused to abort despite continuous pressure.
DNA testing of the foetus confirmed his paternity.
A 35 page diary recovered from her home documented everything. She had written to God saying Amarmani wanted to get rid of her.
CBI concluded Amarmani and his wife Madhumani conspired to have her killed. During the investigation, he planted false stories in media, fabricated evidence and threatened her sister and mother directly. The officer who refused to give him a clean chit was suspended mid investigation.
The trial was transferred from Lucknow to Dehradun by the Supreme Court due to political interference.
In October 2007, both were convicted of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment.
While in jail, Amarmani won a UP Assembly election in 2007. The couple were found holding rock concerts inside Gorakhpur jail and spent extended periods in hospitals outside prison.
In August 2023, the UP government released them early after 16 years citing good behaviour.
Madhumita’s sister Nidhi challenged it in the Supreme Court. In March 2025, the court dismissed her plea.
She said I am afraid for my life and my family’s life.
Madhumita was 24 years old. Six months pregnant. A poet who wrote about courage.
Her killers are free today.

Modi: "BJP has won. Let's END this endless spiral of violence. Forget who voted whom, let's work for Bengal's future."
But, Modi is communal and TMC is progressive🤡
