When I speak to college athletes I tell them 20 years from now you’re not going to wish you would have spent more time on social media or played more Fortnite or partied more. 20 years from now you’ll wish you would have devoted yourself to being the best you can be.
Simply put, Al Unser possesses just about the finest #Indy500 record by any driver ever.
He remains near the top of almost every major statistical category there is at #IMS.

Kobe Bryant on Practice 💯
“If you don’t struggle in practice,
you never are going to get better.”
“That’s the only way you get better,
is pushing yourself past exhaustion.”
If your coach has to constantly come to you to ask you to work hard, don’t be surprised when you get replaced by someone who constantly comes to your coach asking for more work.
“There’s not a guy who goes to
work at 8 o clock in the morning
— that gets off at 5 — that wants to
read that basketball players are tired.
I’m right along with them.
I can’t live with the idea
that we should be tired
because we had to play.”
RIP Jerry Sloan
Today, the Brickyard sits in silence. @IMS has been temporary muted, but close your eyes and lower your ear to the yard of bricks...
And the Indy 500 awakens.

PLAY CATCH.
Playing catch is not something you do to get loose. It’s not something you do to warm up. It is a drill that translates in every game you will ever play. Pitching is catch. Defense is catch.
If you can’t play catch, you can’t play. #STdrills https://t.co/CkN5LAuQsT
Correction is not criticism.
I played for a great high school coach and I would constantly get asked how I handled him “yelling” at me. He wasn’t yelling at me. He was holding me to a higher expectation because he knew my goals.
Be worried when your coach stops talking to you
