So, all great to launch a company, but I hear you ask, 'What do you actually do?'
Funny you ask that, I say...

People were, are and will remain most critical elements of change. When CEOs fail to define, live + reward values and principles that they/the business stands for, your teams will function in silos and your business will live a mediocre life and die its natural death!
This is such an important point of consideration. We are so focused on the company, role, money, perks and how great it will look on our LinkedIn profiles that we never stop to consider if the job aligns with our passion and values.
When considering a new role, the most important question isn't "can I do it?" It's "do I want it?"
It's up to the employer to decide whether you're qualified. Only you can gauge whether you're motivated.
Values should align with the job. Skills can be learned on the job.
@bymariandrew
People who are unwilling to admit their mistakes are unable to learn from them.
Acknowledging yesterday's error is a prerequisite to correcting it today and preventing more tomorrow.
When we get it wrong, arrogance insists "I was right." Humility says "I want to make it right."
The more you bullshit, the more likely you are to fall for other people's bullshit.
Data: those who exaggerate their expertise to impress others are more vulnerable to misinformation.
When people speak without concern for the truth, they can't be trusted to recognize the truth.

Here what you need to know:
This is so damn relevant! Especially in times when everyone is trying to incorporate AI and Tech in their 'marketing strategy'...solve for the right problems ppl...solve for problems that help your customers...and most importantly deliver! Tech for tech sake is BS!
“Nothing matters if the dogs don’t eat the dog food.”
I had that phrase taped to my monitor for years to remind me that even the best marketing wouldn’t compensate for a substandard product. Because you know what shouts louder than advertising?
Having the product actually be great.
On major life decisions, the purpose of seeking advice is not to get answers. It’s to gain perspective.
No one knows what's best for you. They can only share what makes sense to them.
The most important question to ask is not what you should do. It's what you might be missing.
“I don’t have time” is a poor excuse for treating people poorly. No one is too busy to be kind.
Managers who can't find a minute to be civil shouldn't be managing people. Making your team feel valued is core to the job.
It's always worth your time to show you care about others.
"Quiet quitting" isn't laziness. Doing the bare minimum is a common response to bullshit jobs, abusive bosses, and low pay.
When they don't feel cared about, people eventually stop caring.
If you want them to go the extra mile, start with meaningful work, respect, and fair pay.
@lawheroez@rachpikulski@BLaw Couldn't agree more! Often innovation is mistaken for tech; well tech is just one part. Bring innovation in thinking, process, systems, the ppl you hire, in everything! Without innovative thinking & being open to positive change no amt of innovation teams or workshops will help!
@jackwshepherd That's because business process improvement is hard and everyone wants tech to do some magic to fix their processes! Time and again I say this, fix your processes! If you put an inefficient process in tech...tech is going to spew out more inefficiencies! Invest time in process!
Professionalism is not defined by the hairstyle you choose or the clothes you wear. It's the standard of conduct you uphold.
Being professional is about maintaining personal reliability and social respect. You strive for excellence in your actions and grace in your interactions.
Sacrificing health and family for work is not an expression of loyalty. It's a sign of poor priorities.
Dedication is not what you give up for your job. It's what you give to your job.
Commitment is reflected in the values people uphold and the contributions they make.

@martinertl More than 50% of the so called CLM tools are nothing but glorified workflow platforms with UI that wasn't sexy even in the 90s, at best they are functional and made with a purpose to 'fit' in existing process. More creative thinking and CX needed for true value creation!
@lawheroez Couldn't agree more! Get your process right before you add tech to the mix and equip your ppl with the best of both worlds! Tech not is a magic wand but it has the potential to become one!
'Digital transformation requires that executives, managers, and frontline employees work together to rethink how every aspect of the business should operate.' Technology is not a magic wand - transformation takes consistent efforts + management support + culture change!
More than burnout and pay, the Great Resignation is driven by toxic cultures.
What makes a culture toxic: disrespectful, noninclusive, unethical, cutthroat, and abusive behaviors.
If leaders don't take toxicity at least as seriously as performance, Houston, we have a problem.
