@rywilwrite From Wiki: It was awarded to every member of the U.S. Armed Forces who served during any one of four specified periods of armed conflict or national emergency from June 27, 1950 through December 31, 2022. Combat or "in theater" service is not a requirement for the award.
@nimitz_s Midshipmen have rifle and pistol training their first summer for one day only. After that there are limited optional opportunities. There are 3 levels of qualification: marksman, sharpshooter, and expert. Those without any medal failed to even qualify to the minimum standard.
@Jugnuuu001@realMaalouf So tell me about the “true liberty” of Western women who aren’t under the
auspices of their embassies in Riyadh. The mutawa (Islamic religious police) are going to respect their “diverse choices” of apparel? Not for a Saudi second. You see, your argument doesn’t cut both ways.
@jacob_bear2 @NavyFB Maybe meaningless to OU, but it’s a recruiting bonanza for Navy in Texas. Not many “meaningless “ bowl games have sellout crowds of over 50k.
@realMaalouf Actually, Lebanon was a narrowly Christian majority at the time of the 1943 National Pact. It was never an exclusively Christian enclave that subsequently opened its doors to Muslims. Not discounting immigration, the Muslims have had a higher birth rate.
@Naila_Ayad Ironic advocating for the replacement of Roman alphabet spelling of #Hebrew place names with the Roman alphabet transliteration of #Arabic. Arabic is already an official language in #Israel For example, highway signs in Israel are in Arabic. Arabic script reads #Al-Quds.
@BillWag96080964 From Chat GPT The Navy football team currently ranks 120th in the nation for penalty yards per game, having accumulated 218 penalty yards on 27 penalties in the 2024 season. This high penalty rate indicates a struggle with discipline in avoiding costly mistakes .
@BillWag96080964
Wags - I watch your weekly interviews with coach Newberry every week. Could you please ask him about penalties this year. It’s seems atypical of Navy football.
