In Milwaukee at DPW Headquarters @POTUS pledged an additional $2.6 billion to replace lead pipes across the country. @cityofmilwaukee has been working hard to reduce lead in drinking water, prioritizing neighborhoods most in need. Federal funding has been crucial to our efforts.
Vel R. Phillips Plaza is open! This new space is a fitting tribute to a trailblazer whose courage and advocacy have transformed Milwaukee. Being part of this dedication fills me with immense pride and inspires us to continue her work in creating a more inclusive Milwaukee.
Commissioner Kruschke spent National Public Works week meeting with crews. He listened to them and observed them working in the field. But, most of all he thanked them for their hard work that helps keep Milwaukee running every day.
