@realBrookNash Ok, sounds good then. Just was sharing from my experience, every time I put 20 things to see, I regretted it later, opting for 5 things at 4x slower pace next time. Enjoy the ride!🙌
Charging news sites and celebrities $8 for a service that used to be free is probably the worst business case I have seen in a while.
Who was the genius that did the calculations on potential revenue increase from this? Maybe it was Elon himself. On the back of the napkin.🤔
The first rule of the Internet: you can't charge money for what used to be free.
It’s interesting to see Elon make elementary pricing and positioning mistakes even while claiming to reason from the first principles (logic).
@content_grinder You should move to the Baltics if you want to see what a late rollout looks like.😂 We still can't buy TikTok ads for example. Missing features for many platforms. It's simply a small country problem.
@josepheglover Fresh 👀 rule. Show it someone else. They will see obvious things that you're blind to, from starring at it for too long. Simple and works every time. I sent recently a client deck where opening slide was just their name, spelled wrong. I noticed it right after sending. 😂
@axelk I hope not. It's not expected and just screws with the system if you do.
I once tried not tipping in the US for takeaway coffee and got a death stare from the barista.🤣
@MediaPost@mp_joemandese What's interesting is the $3.5 billion still spent on Newspapers and Magazines in 2022. Is this the last global bastion of print?
According to @chiefmartec, in 2022 there were 10,383 martech startups. In my media agency life, at Mindshare, I was using only 10 martech tools regularly. If you are a martech, selling to an agency, the odds are not in your favour.
Here is a basic checklist to follow 🧵👇
5. Be significantly cheaper than the market leader.
Agencies love saving money. It is literally their business model. If you can show that you can solve an established pain point cheaper than a large incumbent, you have a real shot at it.
@theandreboso Yet irrelevant content on long tail keywords still ranks. I recently did search on question "what does a media agency do". None of the top results where from actual media agencies. It was from design and social agencies with misleading or superficial content. Not helpful. 🤔
