Currently in Bengaluru City, excluding the national multiplex chains, there are 85 single-screen theatres (89 screens in total, as a few have additional mini screens) and 37 non-national multiplex screens (AMB, Gopalan, and other mini-plexes).
People need to stop assuming that only national multiplexes drive a film's Karnataka box office. During the first 10–15 days, single screens contribute more to a movie's gross than multiplexes, largely due to affordable ticket prices and higher footfalls.
The trend is different for Bollywood films, which depend more on national multiplex chains. In fact, apart from #Dhurandhar2, no Bollywood film has crossed the ₹15 crore mark from Bengaluru's single screens alone.
#WATCH | Hyderabad, Telangana: On the participation of his daughter, Nidhi, in the Combined Graduation Parade marking the completion of pre-commissioning training for flight cadets of the Indian Armed Forces, Sudheer Kumar Agarwal says, "Long back when I was a student, I had a dream to join the forces. My daughter Komal joined the NCC and reached the top level. My younger daughter, Nidhi, has joined the forces and has made history. In the Army, she was recommended at All India Rank 28, in the Navy, she was recommended All India Ranking 9, and in the Air Force, she has made history of All India Ranking 6... My family always supported both the daughters... She has made our entire family, community and the country proud..."
Just by the way, Big4 employees aren’t even allowed to use even ChatGPT at work, forget Claude or Gemini
They have no idea how hard the upcoming hit is going to be…
HYROX fitness event in Bengaluru saw around 9,000 participants.
They charged ₹9,000 per person to participate, which comes to roughly ₹8.1 crore made in a single day.
Same trend is showing up in marathons. People are paying ₹3,000–₹5,000 just to run for a day.
Being fit is good. But why are people spending this much on a one-day event? It feels less about fitness and more about validation.
These food bloggers in Blr discover OG/best ever dosey every week.. that too from places which are not even open for public yet! Is expecting some ethics and honesty from these guys a high ask? This pandemic of pandering for a few bucks has to end! @kripalamanna
i mapped every metro ride in bangalore using government RTI data
things i found interesting:
> the 3 busiest stations carry more people than the quietest 2 combined
> only 15% of people actually live close enough to walk to a station (!)
> some stations move 40k people a day. some move 689. 689?? that's like two buses. why is this station even a thing?
> purple line carries 1.5x the load of the green line but has the same ticket price and same train frequency
> the yellow line is running at 37% the load of purple, but with the same frequency and ticket price

Saw everything down by 3-5% in pre-open and transferred 10 lakh into my Zerodha account to buy when market opens.

I think Sachin Tendulkar is one of those really really few people in India who can get appointment from President, PM, HM and LoP on the very same day, for extending a wedding invitation.
Truly incomparable stature.
Restaurants should seriously introspect:
are you in the F&B business or the content business?
Chasing reels, skits & trends costs time and money — often at the expense of what actually matters.
Your forte is food. That’s where diners expect you to shine, not in forced content.
Most of it doesn’t land.
Bad publicity is worse than no publicity.
Let the food do the talking. 🙏
No more waiting for Bangalore.
