We figured out the fifth and final ending of The Mortuary Assistant by @dsdigitaldev and it was the best closure to the story you could think of.

If you’re playing The Mortuary Assistant by @DSDigitalDev and you didn’t give the Night Shift Database a solid read, go read it. So much lore to be found there!
…just watch out for entities peeking at you.
However seeing this thing standing in the corner of the room in River Fields Mortuary every now and again hits harder than any other lesser demon popping out of nowhere.
The Mimic (you know, the gargoyle-like, pale figure stalking you around River Fields) seems to be the fan favorite lesser demon in @DSDigitalDev’s The Mortuary Assistant. For me however, the Shadow Man is the scariest. Why?
👇
The entities which look EXACTLY like the Shadow Man. Tall, lanky dark figure with glowing eyes, staring at you from the corner of the room.
I am now well aware this is my brain playing tricks on me (and there’s nothing neurologically wrong up there, no worries - I checked).
No one in media got this Twitch exclusivity announcement right. Headline news is infuriatingly clickbait. Streamers will misinterpret this news. Here's what really happened 🧵 - tl;dr - you're still Twitch exclusive where it matters.
This is a really cool connection. I used the prep room in her video as reference for the embalming room in the original prototype and I expanded on it for the full game. It's so cool she found the game!
@mia_nix@DSDigitalDev Oh yeah, the true ending hits right in the feels. Especially after gettting to know Rebecca's past over the course of the previous shifts.
In summary, it warms my heart that we still get a gem like The Mortuary Assistant every now and then, given the amount of low effort jumpscare asset flips in circulation nowadays.
Hats off, Darkstone Digital. Eagerly awaiting the next step.
Other than that, I stumbled upon what felt like a couple bugs during interactions or right after they ended - nothing really game breaking. Yet another impressive feat for a game made by a solo developer.
