In 1971, Tina Turner delivered one of her most electrifying performances of “Come Together” at the legendary Olympia Theatre in Paris, captured on the live album Live in Paris, Olympia, 1971.

By then, the song had become a centerpiece of Ike & Tina Turner’s shows, perfectly suited to Tina’s magnetic stage persona. Dressed in her signature fringed mini dress, she prowled the stage with explosive energy, whipping her hair, driving the band forward with commanding vocals that turned the Beatles’ cool, laid-back groove into a ferocious soul-rock explosion.

Backed by the tight rhythm section of the Kings of Rhythm and the spirited Ikettes, the 1971 performance highlighted the raw chemistry between Tina and the band.
