@jeramiahrossnz No, it is a custom gaming console with no other outputs than HDMI. It has no USB. If it was a computer all of this would have been easier
Audio engineering question. I have this small external display. It has a built-in speaker. I would like a 3.5mm headphone socket instead. Will it work if I just snip off the wires from the speaker and solder them onto the socket? Or will I have a bad time due to ohms/amp issues?
@jeramiahrossnz The device that generates the HDMI signal has neither USB or headphone out. I could get an HDMI audio extractor device but in this specific scenario I would prefer a simpler setup over audio quality. Hence the mod
