@Bailey_PB@BDChiefsFan@SamMonsonNFL This is agent math. It's a calculation they're doing off new years and new money. This likely substantially lowers his cap hit next year
There's a big difference between a competent roster and a super team though. Our WR core has been comprised of fringe players who can barely make other teams or are totally out of the league. We got Kareem Hunt off the couch and had the worst rushing attack in football. Chamarri Conner in the slot. No one at all competent next to Jones. A LG playing LT in the playoffs. The list goes on and on. The problem for Mahomes is that we were largely competent in 2022 at all other positions with top notch seasons from Jones and Kelce. That hasn't been true ever since.
@ProFootballDoc Why on earth would the Chiefs decide in May whether or not he's available for a game more than 3 months from now? All the negativity around someone who got back on the field five months after a catastrophic knee injury is entirely missing the point here
@DonKichot007@Conner_DKC The fact that there was a 20 pick dropoff to CB2 who was frequently mocked as a 3rd rounder also strongly signals that there was a big dropoff that they don't see at EDGE and other positions.
@mahomesdahgoat You realize that if they signed Jennings during the compensatory pick period, they would have knocked out a 2027 compensatory. He can be signed in May for nothing. But I guess none of this matters when it's freakout time
@zackeisen21 You and the KCSN guys are a huge part of the shit reaction so lose us with "you feel bad," particularly when you would have celebrated the trade up for a player who just went 15
@marmank87@Daily_Chiefs_ You mean one of those three years where he won the Super Bowl with MVS and Toney and was basically unconscious in the playoffs?
Forty whiners. Across the two Super Bowls, there's never any mention of Jimmy G missing a wide-open receiver, classic Kyle terrible clock management up late (see 28-3 as well), McCaffrey fumble, muffed punt, missed extra point, Nick Bosa blowing 4th and 1, taking the ball first in OT.
