Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan called on Monday for the swift approval of his proposed Anti-Ticket Scalping Act following reports of BTS concert tickets being resold at massively inflated prices.

Pangilinan said Senate Bill No. 1989 aims to prohibit ticket scalping, protect consumers from exploitation, and impose penalties on violators. He cited growing concerns from fans over resale prices reaching as high as P90,000 for the group’s upcoming 2027 Philippine concert.
